Hello there everyone,

Long time lurker, new member.
I recently got into collecting MOC vintage Kenner figures, particularly Stormtroopers. At first, I was not into the whole AFA grading thing, but I recently bought my first AFA 12 back Stormtrooper. Of course, with things in the past like toy toni, I've always been weary of reseals. I thought, even though that reseals have slipped by before, that AFA would give me some sort of reassurance. Before buying, I checked the serial number and everything came back good. When my new figure came in the mail, I compared it to my other 12 back, and I noticed some things on the bubble that did not show up in the pictures online. The bubble is rated an 85, the waffle pattern is present, but there are what looks like two, 6mm circle of "melted" plastic above the figure. Is this from the heat sealing process? Also, to the right of the figure, there is some excess flash of plastic sticking out from under the bubble. I've been burned before in the past, and I just want to make sure my first "major" purchase checked out. Thank you for all your help.

Here's your pics as they are not showing in your post. Hopefully the 12back experts can help on this one.

Toni never had any 12 backs or Kenner cards as far as we are aware so no issues there

The list of the cardbacks he is know to have is on Jasons page - http://www.freewebs.com/mrpalitoy/

Thank you all. After looking closer and doing some more reading, I learned that the extra piece of plastic was a piece put behind the figures to prevent paint transfer. I was worrying for nothing.

Thank you all again!
