First 12 Palitoy MOC run completed

It's been a busy and expensive few weeks but I've finally managed to complete the run of the first 12 Palitoy figures MOC. I was very lucky to pick up 4 in one go from fluffytauntaun aka Andy on the rebelscum forum in a trade that was listed the day before Celebration Europe when a lot of the fourm members were flying over. A quick trip to Norwich the day after CE finished secured those which left me needing a Ben Kenobi. I got this one to today from Dark Jedi aka Joey on IOP. Many thanks to you both. My big purchase at CE itself was a framed palitoy sticker which is one of 3 known to exist.

Here they all are together. I guess I'm on to the 20 backs next!

i take it they are top end if you collect carded figures,they do look mint **** knows how you stop your self opening them .i cant wait to open a luke farmboy or leia

Thats the issue, finding a Palitoy Chewie is an achievement in itself. They are rare as rocking horse shite! :wink:

Not a Palitoy collector myself so had no idea what figures were the hardest to find.
Most of the rest of them look like they would pull in some decent grades IF they were ever graded though, you done well there Jason. 8)

I was very fortunate to secure the Chewbacca. It had already had several enquires made on it when I replied to the RS add 2 hours after it was listed. I was aware of the crease down the side from the pictures. It looks like a factory flaw to me, or do they happen as a result of bending? It's the first one I've seen for sale and was at a very reasonable price. I had higher offers made to me at CE for it and dealers I'd never even met on the main floor had heard about by Saturday afternoon!

The Leia has a small white ding on the top right corner. The Luke has one in the same place which is hardly noticebale. The Han has some which are a little more noticeable. If I was going to replace any of them it would probably be the Leia. And the R2-D2 which has bubble problems top and bottom, but they're as cheap as chips in comparison to the Chewie.

Sci-fi toys on IOP said he thought there were no more than a dozen Chewies carded. Though knowledgable collectors at CE thought there were more than that.

In terms of difficulty ratings from hardest to easiest I put them in this order:-

Luke
Leia
Ben
Han
Stormtrooper
DSC
Jawa
C3-PO
R2-D2
Vader
Sandpeople

They were much cheaper than I thought they were going to cost me, but in the thousands as you say!
