Good riddance to that wanker, but why has he gone now? Has he realised that the FBI or the Swiss Police have something major on him?

How this has been allowed to go on for so long is amazing - in this day and age then you just can't get away with this sort of thing without there being a paper trail. Well done to the US for having the balls to go after Blatter and his bunch of leaches

He would have stepped down before the election, but all the votes had already been paid for so he had to go through with it.

FIFA has always been corrupt lets hope this will be the beginning of a new FIFA.

The whole situation makes me sick
Why countries didn't boycott I do not know
FIFA just needs to be dissolved completely.

I almost said this in the previous post and have been saying it for about 18 months. Totally agree.

France and Spain both voted for him in the election. That doesn't say much given the head of UEFA, Platini, is French!

Just reading the news today and it looks like the 1998 World Cup is about to get dragged into it so that is Plattini done.

I joked that the reason Blatter went on and resigned when he did was because he was busy working on an immunity deal with the U.S. And didn't want to give the game away, I fully expect him to rollover on everyone else and walk away scottfree...

Scotland for 2022 worlds cup hosts. The stadiums may be a bit ****. But it's not too hot and you can have a good drink and party with the Tartan Army before, during and after the match,

Compulsory pre game drugs tests for all players. Anyone found without alcohol in their system gets a ban!?

I'm upping the bid. Scotland for World Cup 2018 and the Welsh for 2022. No need to import lots of hookers. There's plenty of sheep to go round.

Yeah I agree, almost not worth it. The Russian one is only 3 years away and I can't see that getting moved now. Makes you wander what Blatter is gonna do in the next 4 months, cover up the last 18 years probably so their is as little evidence against him as possible.

He's probably in his office now shredding away.

Yeah, far too close to allow ticket sales, stadiums to be made ready and all the health and safety BS to be sorted. Plus Russia will drag the legals out as long as possible.
