FFL 2011-2012 up and running

It was more the fact that i thought Dzeko had seen his days as a starting striker. That and the fact that i'm getting battered.

tell me about it - a very low scoring week for me :(

Back to the top, where I (clearly) belong!!

Not a great week for the Arsenal Spoons! With RVP looking like he's gonna follow that well worth path out of Arsenal by refusing to sign a new contract and thus force the club to sell him in the summer, pains me to say it, but I can see mid-table obscurity beckoning!

I had Agguero as skipper as well, made my day to see him walk off injured after 20 mins!
Question is, do I flog him now (getting full value) and bring in Suarez/Adebayor/Dzeko/Balotelli and then hope his vale drops by the require 0.2 million so I can buy him back with losing any dosh. Or, do I just sit on him and risk having a very expensive sub for one week, if he misses the Villa game!?

inclined to agree with you - but at this rate it will be Championship mid-table obscurity

In reality they'll spend a couple of years out of the top four, rebuild and try and get back in - sound familiar

United at home to Norwich and you benched one of their players!? :?
BTW, Surely there are better United Midfield options than Anderson!?

I'd say for his price Anderson is by far the best united midfielder to have. I've never been a fan but he's doing really well this season. 8th best midfielder so far. Benching him for the easy home games is probably not the best idea tho.

He's actually doing better than I thought. But, I'd still go with Nani/Young. Anderson is playing a more holding role and over the course of a season the others will bag more points. He says realising come May this will probably be dragged up and he'll be made to look stupid as Anderson scores two million points!

I've got Anderson and Nani in one or both of my ff teams. Anderson seems to get more points - although he may be in my i metro league team, and the scoring is bizarre

Oh yea, of course, i wasn't saying you should have Anderson instead of Nani or Young. They will clearly be the highest scorers in Man Us midfield by far (and apart from Silva i can't see any other midfielders in the game getting more points). But that's if you have the 10-11m to spend on them. If you only have 6.2 then definitely go for Anderson.

Yeah that's true.

I had to play my wild card two weeks ago cos all my budget midfielders were playing like a bunch of ****in retards (Moses, Sessegnon, Brunt). As you say, bar those two and Silva (with possibly, Nasri) I just don't see too many stand out performers in midfield ATM.

No, it's really slim pickings. I started off with Jarvis but he's fallen away since the first couple of games.

Bloody low scoring week that, nothing better after missing a week cos of them stupid internationals to come back and for it to be a huge anti-climax. :(

Auguero injured, Rooney, Nani and Silva all benched...........that helped me out no end!

PS Iain 43 pts!? Superb (ie flukey!) effort! 8)

Ha ha - I havent checked this for ages - is 43 points good ?

Think you ended up with more than 43 (bonus pts and sunday games), and yes that was pretty good. It says the average is 30 pts, but most leagues I'm in the average is mid 20's!

As for my team, Stoke's clean sheet and Kompany scoring are the only things that lifted me out of the teens.
