It sounds like things have really got on top of you.
Congratulations though on being brave enough to come on here and type how you felt, I'm sure you get some comfort from the support offered.
I can only echo the comments that have already been written mate.
You have my number mate...
Life can be so cruel and illnesses like cancer can be especially indiscriminate of gender and age. I guess it reinforces the need to cherish those who are nearest and dearest to us, as you never know what is around the corner.
One things for sure though, if you are a bit down the chances are, so is your Mrs. Make sure she's ok and you both spare some time for each other.

Everyone knows how much you wanted to go to CE2. There will be another time mate.
If I were you I'd think off something which you can all do on that weekend, otherwise you'll be like a bear with a sore head!

Thanks again everyone for the kind words, it's unusual for things to get on top of me but I think so many things are getting me down at the moment it's got too much!!!

Jez, I think your idea of doing something that weekend is excellent, I'm not gonna sulk over CE2, after everything that's happened at work this week with my work colleague I have realised its only a convention, there will be another one in 7 or so years time so will make sure I book the time off for the next one. I'm still holding out a little hope something might free itself up at work at the last minute!!!!

There will be a CE every year or every other year. Trust me.

Hang in there Bruv', life is full of highs and lows. Some lows are deeper than the others...Just make sure the highs are really high and last for a long time. All the rest is just filler.
