Favourite childhood cereal toy

I loved my cereal toys as a kid, my absolute favourite of all time was the Kellogg's bike reflectors in the late 80's, we ended up with tons of these things and they could be found all around the house, in the garden, and me and my bro's bike wheels were bloody covered in them lol.

What's your no.1 favourite childhood cereal toy/freebie?

I have the red one on my BMX! love it :D

This has to be one of the best off-topic threads ever.

I've always rued the day they stopped giving away free gifts with cereal. I absolutely loved them as a kid and the cereal aisle was always my first stop as a kid to check out what was on offer or look for the box back I needed with my preferred offer!! I remember moaning at my parents to buy branded instead of supermarket own cereal whenever there was a toy/cutout I liked the look of. It was the only reason I wanted to go to the supermarket!

Some of my highlights were:

3D scenes to cut out and assemble (things like Florence Nightingale, Captain Scott, etc...) : http://cerealoffers.com/Cereal_Partners/Shreddies/1980s/1986-89/The_Adventurers/the_adventurers.html
The 3D animal heads : http://cerealoffers.com/Kelloggs/Cornflakes/1980s/Wild_Animal_Heads/wild_animal_heads.html
Plastic airplane kits : http://cerealoffers.com/Kelloggs/Cornflakes/1980s/Airliner_Model_Kit/airliner_model_kit.html
Star Trek: The Motion Picture cardboard characters and ships : http://cerealoffers.com/Weetabix_Ltd/Weetabix/1980/Star_Trek_The_Motion_Picture/star_trek_the_motion_picture.html
Scary stickers : http://cerealoffers.com/Weetabix_Ltd/Weetabix/1985/Scary_Stickers/scary_stickers.html
Plastic figures from Disney's "The Black Cauldron", which came with a cut out and assemble scene : http://cerealoffers.com/Kelloggs/Cornflakes/1980s/Black_Cauldron_Models/black_cauldron_models.html

that's the plastic airplane kits I mentioned they were so good made loads of them then destroyed them in dog fights most went up in flames :D

 I remember getting obsessed with trying to get a set in the same colour plastic. Variant collecting even back then!

No gifts in cereals any more, no gifts in crisp packets either, i'm so glad I was around as a kid during the golden years of free gifts.

Kelloggs still has gifts. My kids have a set of star wars spoons and a set of colour changing spoons from the last two years. Quite apt really

I'd forgotten the Weetos Muppet in Space figures from the early 90s. I've still got my set of those and on display

Great thread :)

I miss the free gifts in cereals these days, even though I'm a big kid now. Had some Star Wars Lightsabers but none of the later figures.

Still got some cereal promotions, mainly from the 90's - all UK stuff. Will try and dig out some pics and post them on here. I could always put things on the For Sale board maybe if anyone is interested in anything.
