Hey Guys,

Prob stabing myself in the back for posting this as some one might out bid me :p lol but first can some of the experts among you cast your eye over this auction? I contacted the seller who swears to think its genuine, im 50/50 but would like some advice...

Any help would be most welcome..

Yep, looks good to me - Don't worry, I already have mine! :D
Best to wait for other opinions first though before going mad on this...

Might be worth asking for a closer picture of the arm holes.

Yeah, I've never seen one in person, but it does look right. I've asked for my photo's to be certain, i dont want to spend to much more on whats already been bid just encase. If i win will be on its way to UKG straight away. ;)

Hmm, blurry photos are never a good sign plus the length looks short at the back. I also don't like the sellers slightly confrontational statement about not accepting returns 'because you might have switched the cape'...

It looks good to me - but the seller is coming across as a bit of a twat - he has also given potential scammers a bloody good idea and I am sure that eBay would find against him if someone did do that to him

I know that a few people are watching this one so expect it to go up a fair bit before the end of the auction

It looks good to me although it's strange that they say they have plenty of pictures to prove it has a cross hatched pattern on one side of it yet there isn't one clear picture of this on the listing, I would ask the seller to send one to you or post it in their listing.

It is very difficult to say for sure though with these soft pictures and there's no picture of the coo (of which there are only 2-3 that have been found with the VCJ and also the blaster looks to be very black and again it would be nice to see this in close up. The story behind it sounds good but the way there's such a block of text and the font used is something I've seen before when someone's trying it on (may mean nothing though and their feedback does look good).

Better pictures would be the way forward for me and what's to stop them from swapping the cape before it's sent off to the winner?

Ian

Got my beady eye on this little tinker as well.
Need this one to complete the loose collection.

Common sense says stay well clear, but........
Extremely 50/50, though.
Not sure I've got the minimals to spunk £500+ on something I hadn't seen in the flesh.

Am I correct in thinking it has to be a Hong Kong COO?

Looks fine to me, I say go for it. Because there's a question over authenticity and the no returns disclaimer, people may be reluctant to bid. I still think it'll sell for silly money though.

like a a lot of people i can imagine he is the figure peeps need to complete their loose collections including me

i would want to collect him in person and take an expert with me to confirm it is legit.

Went for under £500. Great price if it turns out to genuine.
Didn't get a reply to my request for better close-up photos, so I passed.

Yeah, I am surprised this didn't go for more - shows you what being an arse in your listing can do I guess

Are ungraded loose ones really selling for over £500 now? Absolute madness! I can kind of understand the Palitoy MOCs and 12 backs selling for big bucks recently as there is only a finite amount of them, but these are common as muck! There must be hundreds of them on this forum alone.

They are selling extremely high, if the buyer grades and then flips it they could literally double their money. Of course if its fake then they're going to take a bath...

agree with Ian,he says hes got loads of pictures to prove it is genuine but then puts crappy pics on ebay.
and also agree there is nothing to stop him switching cape before posting.

Hey guys sorry if i outbid any one but i won this piece ;) . It should arrive tomorrow. Spoke to the seller who gave me his mobile number and we have been chatting about it, everything sounded legit, i did receive a few more pictures, and im pretty happy. To be on the safe side, i'm going to get it straight of the UKG, rather not take any chances but im sure as Dickinson would say "its the real deal"! lol Will keep you posted.
