Factory Error

Just a question about Vader's, Luke's and Obi-Wan's arm and if a plastic block halfway up the arm channel is a common flaw?

Someone on ebay seems to think it is a super-rare factory error that justifies a £69 price!

"The arm that holds the saber is flawed the channel has plastic projections"

This is where IMO variants/factory errors is a load of bollocks. Don't get me wrong, I understand the genuine variants that are out there. But to say 'oh my Luke has one arm that sits every so slightly different from the other, it must be a super rare factory error' is just bull to me.

I think that in this case it is more likely to be down to the fact that different sabres fit into different arms - I have noticed that when I gave tried to add a sabre to one if these figures that it can sometimes be a right fit or possibly not go in at all - this must be down to the sabres being made for different moulds

If this is an error then how was the figure sold - there is no way (unless it was on a trilogo card) that the figure would have been carded up without a sabre

You hit the nail right oo the head IMO Chris, just dicks trying to cash in on the stupidity band wagon, though if some are dim enough to buy, then there will always those unscrupulous to provide the service :?

I agree. There must be thousands of these one off type factory errors. Common variations in colour/design - fine, but tiny flaws like this are bollocks.

He must mean this:

It can't be that rare because I sold another Ben recently with the same error. The channel was narrower on the one I sold as the channel looks like its been forced wider in this one I kept.

I saw that crap on ebay, but there are some that didnt go through QC properly. I've seen loads where the hole in the hand didnt line up properly with the arm so a lightsaber wont fit. IMO it cuts the value of the figure because theres no displaying it properly

This got me Cheesed Off  Sellers would say anything & make **** up just to sell to idiots that would think that's a variant or factory error??? Lmfao I just stick with copping true variations. This is what you would call Bollocks, Rubbish!!!

Completely agree with the above!
Chris you have hit the nail on its head! :)
