I noticed the football talk had been a bit quiet on here recently, I wonder why?

Jabba, are Barnsley your second team?

I'm hoping West Brom can avoid Man U and Chelski (and Cardiff as we don't do so well against them recently) in the draw. We've had three away draws so far so Bristol Rovers at home would do nicely :D

I thought the FA Cup had been cancelled this year as the big teams only play their reserve sides?!!

i am from doncaster ,moved to barnsley when i met our lass ,who suddenly became biggest fan ever saturday (bitch)but i like to see rovers doing well

I'm in denial!

It didn't happen, it was just a wind up!

I was playing myself on Saturday afternoon (Hockey not Football) and we got thrashed 10-0. First time I've ever lost by double figures and I wasn't a happy camper. I don't lose well. Obviously Barnsley scoring in the last minute to win it just rounded my day off

Hopefully Barnsley can do the same to Chelsea

We have Bristol Rovers away which on paper should be straightforward, but its the cup and their pitch is terrible (as Southampton found out) :?

I really don't get the point of having the semis at Wembley though especially when there are still northern teams involved. Why not use Old Trafford, Villa Park etc like they used to  ???

I agree with both of you.

Using Wembley for the semi's kind of devalues makeing the final. Although at it's nearly always premiership teams and big four teams at that, there isn't the attraction to playing at wembley or in a huge stadium that there is for the lower league sides.

I guess with all the sides concentrationg more on the league and Europe, the FA Cup has slipped down the priorities list. After all if you asked any manager in the Premiership would he rather; win the FA Cup and miss out on Europe (the CL in particular), OR finish in a European place (again, CL in particular) . I'd bet my house that 100% will choose the CL and Europe!

even lesser teams say its their priority to stay in prem rather then win fa cup

Now the Blades have got rid of Robson :) :) what a chance we have to get to the semi-final if we can get past Boro.
Mind you if we beat Boro at the Riverside it would be like us to lose at home to Cardiff.

Didn't realise you were a Blades fan!
WHY ON EARTH did they think he was the man to get them back up? The guy is one of the worst managers around, if not THE worst!

Yeah Weasel I'm a Blade!!
I was so pissed off last year when we got relegated
Neil Warnock (or Colin Wanker as piggies like to call him) was always going to be a hard act to follow, but Bryan Robson was never going to be the man to get us back to where we belong.
Think he was appointed because of his name and his ability to lure some big names,(Beattie Speed ect)well big for us.
Just glad he has gone to be honest, yesterdays game was crap but at least the players looked as though they gave a ****!!
Just nedd to stuff Wednesday in a couple of weeks!! :D

Big name players almost always make SHITE managers!
Bryan Robson, Graham Souness, Glen Hoddle etc etc

All the Albion fans on the BBC 606 forum were telling Blades fans not to touch Robson with a barge pole and they were like, ahh he'll be alright. A couple of months later they were going 'you were right, we need to get rid'
The bloke used to play in the most exciting teams going like the baggies under Atkinson in the early 80's and yet he plays the most negative footie as a manager :x

you are back where you belong

Jabba teams such as Wigan,Portsmouth,Derby and Reading don't belong there in my opinion.Just that money talks and they have zillionaire chairman.
Don't even get me started on west ham the cheating twats!!! :x :x

i used to work in sheffield and to be honest i prefer blades fans to wednesday ,i get impression wednesday think they are to big for that division and shouldnt have to try to get back up

Yeah all the Owls I know go on about bigger ground and bigger crowds so they are the bigger club.
They were the bigger club about 10 years back,it's the Blades at the moment but it'll change back again in a few years.
I will piss myself though if they get relegated again,a few folk will recive some payback after the **** I got last year.
Got to say Darth I fell into the 'Oh he'll do OK' category!
I'd take Warnock back in an instant. Most of you will probably hate him but his autobiography is well worth a read if you can force yourself to buy a copy!

I agree with you there, although its the gutless FA I blame. They refused to do what their rules said they should, and dock West Ham points.

How Bryan Robson manages to keep getting new jobs is beyond me

So who predicted Portsmouth AND Barnsley to win?

In fact, who predicted EITHER to win?
