I won a bid for an EV9 on ebay. Was hoping to pick it up for a song because it had duff arms and a duff leg, but I think I still managed to pay too much for it :)

The leg on the ev9 was described as having a factory error as it was deformed... I didn't think too much about it as assumed that it was seller-speak for broken, and fortunately I had already picked up a replacement leg for him.

Having recieved the figure today, it does look like a factory error to me. I've attached a photo. The edges on the rounded sections are really smooth and symmetrical (hard to show in photos). What do you chaps think?

If it is, does anybody on the forum have an interest in collecting loose oddities? Not trying to sell magic beans here - If someone wants it they are welcome to it FOC as it will end up getting lost or forgotten.

I'd take it if you don't mind as I have one without a leg and don't mind oddities like this.

And it looks like a short fill on the plastic. I have a couple of figures like this. I even have a few Ep1 battle droids with weird arms. So it still happened in the late 90's

Ah yes of course, it does indeed look like the mould didn't quite have enough plastic to fill it.
