Not the best display I've seen but still a pretty cool piece of SW toy shop history.

Iain - there was a thread where a guy found a display in the back of a toy shop cupboard and he came here for help on it. I think it was a shop in tenby

I remember this. It was a toy shop in Tenby that had it since the esb days. A few people told him to use vectis and then Bram got really upset because he was trying to buy it.

I guess he decided to go down the auction route. Shame as I think Dave tree offered to broker it.

What did it sell for.

It didn't sell.

The reserve was £2,000 so after adding fees you would have been up to £2,480 (if my maths is correct). As rare as these things are, it seems a big price for this particular piece which has a few issues. I would have happily paid £1,500, but I reckon I'm not alone in that

It's a cool piece but it's not £2000 cool. Historically cool too but you've got to have the space to display it.

I thought I glad seen it before!

This one sold just recently...a better display IMO

This one went for just under £3k.

Spotted this still in the toy shop in Tenby, quite a cool piece and nice that they've kept it in the original shop.
