Hi guys. I'm emigrating to NZ in November. Going to ship my collection. Any advice on packing Carded figures in acrylic cases and boxed vehicles would be appreciated !

Bit sad too as August will be my last Collectormania !

Good luck mate - quite an adventure !

Joe recently moved a bulk collection so might have some advice - mine would be just make sure you use plenty of bubble wrap

Good luck on the move! Iain is right, I sent all of my collection from Romania to England when I moved. Just pack them like you would want to receive them if you are going to use regular royal mail as they may spend a bit of time in transit.

Depends on what you have really, I actually left all my acrylic cases there as they were added weight and took up more space in the boxes.

Only one tip really, make sure you get the address right - mine :p

I hear the north side of the southern island is where its at, got a suitcase big enough for me to fit in :) I am sure your making a wise move & wish you all the best with your new life, don't be a stranger

If you need to leave anything behind, I ll care take it for you then send it on later :?
Only joking mate,

Make sure you take pics of all before packing, then in case anything does go
Awry and you need to claim, you've got the proof....hope nothing does though
Obviously.

Great thing is you can still be part of this forum, so that's all good.

Genuine best wishes again to you and the family bud, wish I'd have done it years back

Go for it :D

Be sure to wrap those babies up in cotton wool :)

Good luck and all the best in your new chapter of life :)

I just recently moved most of my collection from England to Sweden just cocoon them in bubble wrap and crap I spent about £200 getting 3 big boxes shipped over that had stuff from 3 of my hobbys and the boxes came bashed up big time but nothing was damaged I also did a 40 kilo solo flight over here with loads of other bits and bobs like that before we moved.
Good luck man!
