Most ISP's provide dynamic IP ranges these days which makes pin pointing who is who tricky, especially if they are using one of the more popular ISP's that other forum members also use. That along with web proxifiers and internet cafes makes it very difficult to keep a persistent troll at bay, unless you make the signup up stage require mod approval. This also has the effect of keeping new members from signing up and posting easily so it's only worth doing if you are losing more forum members due to trolls posting than new ones who are signing up. Can you tell I used to moderate a forum with troll issues?

I really don't think there will be much call to moderate other than with Augie but if everyone agrees on something and Edd isn't about then at least we can do a little more.
