Edd, is this you?

Was also in this mornings paper but as you say people now realise the value of these items and will certainly keep an eye out!

** Star Wars toys stolen in raid **
Burglars target a collection of 60 Star Wars figures worth over Ã'£10,000.

I cant help but think that by advertising the "value" could only prompt more "steal to order" jobs :(

That worries me as well. I think its time to get a large dog, or perhaps one of those robot sentry guns from Aliens for the hallway

On this note, is it possible to get specific insurance for collections or does it have to be added on to home contents insurance?

It depends on your insurance provider - speak with them or have a look at your policy (especially the small print).

Mine is part of the contents insurance and if anything happened I need to provide a list of what was stolen / damaged / destroyed - I don't have to have the items valued or provide them with a list or declare it is a collection - like some companies do and there is no one item over the maximum amount allowed under my policy (which is about Ã'£250 I think) before you need to declare it separately.

Hey guys, haven't been able to get on here for a while (for long enough to post anyway!)

Yeah I agree it's somewhat stupid putting the story up, it's nothing to deo with me, the police have done it to try and help the search apparently. But like you say it will probably just make toys a bigger target.

Still no certain words from the insurance company either :|
