So I recently sold on eBay a loose tie fighter, bwing and xwing to a buyer. Boxed the lot up and sent it off. Smooth going.

But then arrrgghhh, the buyer contacts me to say he hasnt received his BWing and XWing. Thats odd, thinks me, he didnt mention the Tie fighter. Then BAM ****, realised I had parcelled up the three together and sent them to the Tie Fighter buyer!

Contacted the original buyer of the Tie and told him I had made a mistake and could we discuss how to deal with the situation. Nothing. Nowt. Not a peep.

So, is there anything I can do???

Pretty sure you are at the mercy of the 2nd buyer - if he is not responding your only chance is a personal visit which might not be easy depending on location

I did this a couple of years ago - sent 2 MOCs to the wrong addresses - the buyer who won the more expensive one but got the cheaper one complained and I had to give him a full refund - didn't hear a peep out of the 2nd chap - for obvious reasons !

Oh crap!! Can understand how it might feel. Keep trying the Tie Fighter buyer and hopefully they have enough honour amongst collectors to do the right thing. Like Iain says it might result you in refunding the other guy. Can be costly!!

You can report him to ebay and file a police report. The items were sent to him in error. That does not mean they are his. By keeping them he is stealing. That's the law.
But like others have said, maybe he'll do the right thing. Just give him a little time.

Remember you have his personal email address (and his home address). So if he doesn't want to return them, you have several reasons he might need reminding of why he ought to. Perhaps, if he doesn't reply in the next 4 days send another message saying "As said before, i'd very much appreciate you returning the items sent to you in error. This can be done via Royal Mail or alternatively, a courier. If this does not suit you, no worries, i can just drive round and pick them up. I'm in that area next week. I'll give you a buzz" Something to that effect.

Sorry to hear this Jamie. I too have done this in the past! Its easily done. Lucky in my instamce it was omly a couple of quids worth of stuff. In this instance its a real bummer. Hopefully the guy has a change of heart

To be clear, i wasn't actually suggesting you pay him a visit. Just that you send him an email saying you're going to 'pop round and collect your suff' in the hope that that shits him up enough to get his arse in gear.

I work in Leeds mate, I could collect them from him. Suggest that you tell him you have a mate who could collect at his earliest convenience so as not to put him out with the hassle of parceling them up.

Hhhmm Not sure, if he wasn't in the country how did he originally take receipt of the package. do Hermes deliver abroad?
If you send the cash via Paypal (not gift) then you should be able to claim your money back?

Maybe I'm being too suspicious?? My offer is still there though mate.

As I am a glass half full guy then I would read that as a positive - the guy is offering to help. I would have thought Hermes would deliver for about £5.00 so you aren't going to be out of pocket that much and its not really worth him trying to scam you for a fiver !

Very true Iain, but I think the items need sending to Germany and I thought that Hermes only delivered within the UK??

I would probably say thanks for the offer but can you just pay for the return postage as you will need to repack it and maybe even add something in before sending to Germany.
