JFK bought one item from us, a 21 back Luke with a sticker tear in the upper right corner. They were unhappy that we would not lie on the customs form. They started sending us nasty messages on EBay about it and left us negative feedback. They made up a story about the bubble being glued on the corner and asked for a return. We granted the return and the sent us an empty box. They sold the Luke that they were supposed to be returning on eBay. Through hours and hours of work I was able to get the feedback removed and all of our money refunded through eBay. There was never an item sold outside of eBay. It's really simple and I have every message through eBay saved and screenshots of the messages, the item JFK sold on eBay and the threatening post they made on this forum.

Can we see those messages?

Ebay messages are stored in weird way and it's difficult to show one continuous thread with all the responses. Some are copied and some are not. I have every message saved including where JFK said he would mark the return package with a $2000 value so we would "loose" money like he did.

coin-corner, I know this might be more personal but if you have a screenshot of paypal showing the sum you received from JFK that would be definitive proof of whether he only bought the $511 Luke or if other items were included.

JFK, likewise can you prove you bought the additional Chewie - was it through facebook? Can you provide definitive proof you bought the extra item?

Well I'm having trouble trying to retrieve my own as normally I don't have theese issues ,but your sitting pretty are you not ? You have your money and item ,chuck **** lies over my rep ,I've never sent a empty box to you or anyone ,who the **** are you ? Your nothing to me and fas as I'm concerned I'm done on this ,I know and you know and you have your money and item and I'm out of pocket - but I'm not wasting anymore energy on your bullshit lies ,carry on I do not care ,this is my last reply on this post because it's only going to make me angry ,so I'm not going there ,you will have to make up your own mines on this .

By posting like that you are making yourself look like a prize prick JFK, can you just post the screenshots of the Chewie agreement and whatever else proves your point already? It's not rocket science.

From reading those ebay exchanges it appears you got shirty with the seller very quickly all because of the customs issue, which is annoying but it's not worth being rude over. At this point, those messages and your replies in this thread (and now the swearing) make me want to believe the seller far quicker than I believe you..

Newsflash: You can ask nicely for people to help you out on customs forms but you can't demand people lie on them just so you don't incur charges your end or get mad if they do declare full value etc etc..buy from the UK if that is an issue because many US sellers would rather do it properly than jump through hoops so you save a few bob. Buying from the states sucks for us but it is what it is.. IMO it would be very easy to prove your side of the story if you take a few screenshots..so the ball is in your court.

Oh dear.
Doesn't look good
Come on JFK just put up the screen shots.
You may not remember but we have done a couple of deals in the past and you were always straight up with me.
It won't take much to clear this up .

Talk about dragging this on - neither has been massively convincing in proving their case - yet a simple screen shot would fix it one way or the other

Coin Collector - show us a message where you mention the empty box to JFK

JFK - show us a message where you mention the Chewbacca

It really is that simple

This is a right mess...

I agree with itfclain ..JFK you should be easily able to prove evidence of the Chewbacca deal through emails/ eBay messages etc . Screenshots of these conversations will put to bed this matter.

Requesting valuation on a custom form be reduced is understanble however it's up to the seller if they choose to complete the customs forms correctly and after all they are legially obliged to do. That's their right and entitlement. As a buyer this must be considered and not expected and no way should someone become abusive about it.

Being pissed about paying customs is pointless. You can claim most of it back from HMRC. There's a thread with a phone number and claim form on SWFUK somewhere. So a seller won't put a lower value on the customs form, just claim it back.

You'll end up paying just the duty iirc which is a tiny fraction compared to the VAT. Hardly worth a meltdown over.

It seems strange to me that coin collector would come here and spend time defending herself
when according to JFK she's already got away with it, as someone who was recently falsely accused of trying to rip someone off I know how it feels. JFK if you want this to go away you need to show the proof of the transactions in question.

Also is it possible that the parcel was tampered with en route? Maybe before it was weighed

Here's a screenshot of the one and only Paypal transaction with JFK. I forgot to say that my name is Toby and the person who responded to some of the Ebay emails is Leanna, my sister. We run an antique store near Portland, Oregon, USA and have been buying and selling vintage Star Wars toys since the late 1980's. I have no messages with JFK about the empty box besides the messages I sent to Ebay about the case. I called then several times and they have many, many notes about the transaction. After several threatening Ebay messages I felt it was best, and so did the people I spoke to at Ebay, to not respond to him in any way besides letting Ebay deal with it and they have. I made a video of opening the returned box because I knew there would be some problem with it, empty box, item damaged, etc. and I was right. I collect old video games and I have seen these kind of things play out many times on forums and I understand that there will be people defending this guy no matter what he did. I think it's pretty simple honestly. Thank you for your time and please let me know if there is anything else I can do.

I forgot to mention that the box was intentionally taped poorly so he could possibly use this excuse. The customs form says 161 grams and I have weighed it at exactly 161 grams. There was never anything in the box besides some packing peanuts. This all doesn't matter though because JFK sold the figure he was supposed to be returning on Ebay. There is a sticker tear in the upper right hand corner and it matches exactly with the one I sold. The whole Chewbacca thing is a crazy, made up story to try and trick the members of this forum.

Although this clearly has nothing to do with me I have read everything on here and there is one thing mentioned by the buyer that actually supports the sellers statements. It has been claimed that there was a $600 gift payment, around £400, but the buyer stated in one post to be out about £170 which would probably be the equivalent of the shortfall on the resale, the customs charges and the 14% he would have lost in ebay and PayPal fees when he sold on the figure.

Sorry, correction, the amount stated was "an easy £140"

The outstanding 140 odd quid is probably import duty and handling fees it would make sense.

Judging by JFK's lack of evidence with a simple screenshot and the gaping holes in his story (Although he's been posting in other threats, and could have easily put all this to rest by now) - I personally can only come up with one conclusion from what I've seen! Sadly, JFK you seem to be massively in the wrong. Coin corner has done nothing wrong here - I only hope that coin corner would still be willing to ship their items overseas. I would hate to think other collectors would miss out on pieces because of one person.

I looks bad and its a shame it's one of our forum members. I still hope JFK will come up with something.

Whatever the reason a fraud is a fraud and it should not be allowed.

As above there only seems to be one person providing any sort of evidence here
