I received a vintage x-wing today having successfully won on the bay...to my horror on opening found the canopy along with the cannons where glued in position. No mention of this fact was in the sellers description other than it was aged (very brown), clear to see and not a problem. I only wanted it for the cannons and canopy!!! He even gave it a grade of C-8  any advice or thoughts as to what I should do? Much appreciated.

if its not as described you are entitled to a full refund, contact seller and try to sort it that way first , if you get no joy then open a case with ebay .
always be polite in any messages you send to the seller as ebay can view these messages, ebay will not take your side if you have been disrespectful or abusive

have you got a link to the item

Well that's a shame for sure, unfortunately it happens and you should have no problem getting it worked out. "Not as described" is an important advantage a buyer does have for a claim ;)

Thanks for your reply. I have been in touch with seller requesting a refund if i return as "not as described". It was just wrapped up, very well, which resulted in the cannons bending to almst 45 degrees. Seller says will not be refunding as he "described it accurately". Heres the link:

Welcome to the wonderful world of Star Wars collecting  Then again, you're not a true collector until you've been ripped off, but still carry on...

Lol!

I have been offered £10 back from seller, what do you reckon? I have managed to remve cannons, they are fine. Im sure with a little work i could remove canopy successfully. I am tempted...if i was to accept is it still appropriate to leave negative feedback??

If you want to save yourself the hassle of returning it, and also keeping in mind that you won't be refunded on your return postage costs anyway, then by all means, take the £10 refund (Honestly, I probably would too). You could leave neutral feedback...

I agree, if seller solve the problem with you then leave neutral feedback

How much did you pay for that x-wing ? :?

Much appreciated advice guys...I paid £20...the cannons can go for that alone(sometimes!!)...think I will accept. :?

Seems a faire seller £10 refund so only cost you £9.29 plus I would guess it cost him more than £2.80 to post that piece ,so Ide say he is a faire seller no point leaving bad feedback ,positive outcome so if both party's are happy ?
