Ebay Advice!

Hi Lads,

I sold a camcorder on ebay last night & the guy who bought it wants me to post it to another address.I've checked with Paypals seller protection & it says if i post it to an address different from the one on the order details,then i'm not covered!

If i send it to the other address & sent it tracked,will i still be ok?

Has anyone else encountered this problem before?

Hi Mark,

That's a tricky one as I quite often get things sent to different address's if I'm away. Saying that though the address I use is always from my paypal account, were you contacted separately by the bidder to change the address or was the address sent to you through Paypal?

I think you can ask the winner to register the address with Ebay and then ask for a new invoice to that address - that way yu are covere d- I have a few people's addresses in mine (including Todd's - ooer) so it is pretty easy to do

Yeah he can register a different address. He needs to "request payment details" and there under his address it will ask "change address?". It's basic but people don't read things :roll: . I've had that a few times and it irks!

Just don't want to get scammed! :lol:

As Pete says, just ask him to request a new invoice and select the option to change address and then he can add his mates in there - once you have this you can send the invoice and then you are covered - it will take him all of about 2 minutes

only post it to the address you get on paypal, if it goes missing you have no proof you sent it to the right place
