DT Vader... Probably not! Any help would be great!!

Well I have just come into possession of another DT Vader, this one however I believe is fake.

The guy said he has had it for over 30 years with the figure and weapon in excellent condition.The Vader is far from in excellent condition. All the paint is faded or rubbed off. It has a 2 Line marking GMFGI 1977 with a small HONG KONG underneath.

The DT saber is however in excellent condition, it has no markings on the hilt, has a line through the middle and very vague looking injection points which are hardly noticeable (not white).

I am pretty convinced that it may not be a Vintage DT outer, but I am no expert. It looks nothing like my one, but you never know.

It passed the 'float' test, but I know that this is far from conclusive!

Any thoughts?

Thats what I thought, on my other DT Vader, it has white injection points. There's no sprue either.

I knew I was clutching at straws with this one, but figured it was worth a punt. Can always get a refund and then its only cost me the postage.

I just don't know why people say they've had them 30 years?! I gess its just to get suckers like me to bid.

It could be a legit vintage saber. It's not a DT Saber, but I have one of these but from Ben kenobi that I picked up in 1994.

Ive had some collectors look at it and they think that some air got into the plastic mold. The plastic also seems to be thinned out like the PBP Luke one I have.

The kenobi one I have doesn't have a DT saber hole at both ends. One end is sealed.

I wouldn't dismiss it, but it's very unlikely to be a DT Saber.
