Sorry if anyone just got the wrong end of the stick but I keep seeing loads of the above type threads on FB groups and wondered what the fascination is? Surely a beater figure with character is better than taking all the paint off??

I don't get it but maybe that's just me!

I think some people do it as a hobby in its right almost like painting war figures etc some people feel it breathes new life into badly damaged figures I haven't stripped any figure myself although when I was younger I probably tried to strip leia :wink: oops wrong strip

Awhile back I saw a C-3PO stripped of it's gold on eBay with a classic description of, 'I know nothing about the history of it, but I think it could be a prototype.' It sold for something stupid like £100 :roll: He was also selling one with just the arm stripped of it gold, but again he knew nothing about it.
