Buyer has just been in touch saying he thinks this is a repro - pretty sure it isn't myself (from memory it came in with a childhood collection - although we all know that they can be just as full of repro crap)

It looks real to me. I've just got out one of my 1977 childhood ones & it looks the same as that.

I can't believe you wouldn't have spotted it if it was a poon. You must have loads of stormtroopers passing through your hand.

Some notable differences when comparing the repro Stormtrooper to original Hong Kong vintage Stormtroopers:
The repros weigh 15.6 grams (the same as a hard-torso sculpt). A regular original Hong Kong sculpted figure weighs 14.6 grams.
The pegholes of the repro are slighly bigger than an original.
There is a flat area underneath the arms of the repro similar only to the sculpts of Lili Ledy and Tri-Logo figures.
Spray ops on the back of the repro helmet are smaller than the original and do not go all the way to the edges of the indentation of the moulding.

Does it say 'Repro' on the foot or back of the leg. Perfectly easy way to tell dude. It was put there to stop people getting ripped off by this guy called Poon. When people questioned the moral consequences of making exact copies of vintage figures he offered to mark to feet with an R to make sure people knew the difference, i quote: "the last thing i wanna do is see anyone get duped or ripped off because of my reproductions". Really honest stand-up member of the community.

Edit: Yes...he is awesome.

I am not happy with the off topic comments in my thread - I will be reporting this to a MOD

The seller has come back to me - it was a three-line COO so definitely not a repro - just a very nice, white Stormtrooper - so no drama

Goes to show what damage these pieces of **** do the hobby - but hey ho - to some they are just bootlegs
