Have any of you guys read the old star wars comics from the 70s and 80s ?

I have not read them for many years and now I have begun reading them again and damn I have forgot a lot.

The first 6 us marvel comics are from the first star wars movie, that is the first 12 star wars weekly comics in the uk. It looks like marvel got the info before the movie came to the cinema and lucas have made some changes later.

Jabba looked a lot diffrent in the comic, the Tie Fighter pilot was a lot diffrent, the Interrogation droid was a lot diffrent, kenobi saber was red in the fight with vader etc. etc.

Star Wars Weekly no. 13 and 14 or marvel us star wars no. 7 was the first story after the movie. Have any of you read it and what do you think about the first star wars story that was not a movie ?

Chewie and Solo lost all the money they got from the rebels. Some Pirates took the money, a Pirate captain named Crimson Jack and his gang on a big cruiser. What I did not like are that some of the pirates looks like some pirates from a pirate movie with sabers

Solo and chewbacca go to a planet called Aduba-3, here they help and alien priest to get a dead borg to a hill so he can be buried on the hill, not a good story

Later they celebrate on the local cantina and here chewbacca score 2 babes I think it is the first and only time I have read or seen chewbacca score girls

Well I will now continue to read the story Star Wars Weekly no. 15 and 16 or marvel us star wars no. 8

Crimson Jack the pirate in the middel of the picture

Jolli, it sounds like she is 2nd in command for Crimson Jack and that she hate solo or maybe love him

Pera the alien Priest that got help from solo and chewbacca and according to the internet we never see him again so far in any star wars story

Azoora a girl solo try to score in the cantina, I guess chewbacca was more lucky

The world Aduba-3 a world so far that looks so boring that marvel will use it in a few more comics and then it would never be mentioned in the star wars universe again so far

One of the more cool things in the story are the Cruiser that looks a lot like a star destroyer that Crimson Jack use

A New Hope, US marvel no. 1-6, UK marvel no. 1-12

The first story after the movie

New Planets, New Perils! US Marvel no. 7, UK Marvel 13 and 14 but the story can also be found UK marvel Return of the Jedi Weekly in color in no. 19, 20 and 21.

2nd story after the movie

Eight for Aduba-3, US Marvel no. 8, UK Marvel 15 and 16 but this story can also be found UK marvel Return of the Jedi Weekly in color in no. 21 and 22.

I read this story yesterday and the story continue on the planet Aduba-3, the world with 2 species of Bantha, here we have the Bobtail bantha and chewbacca do look more like a small king kong than chewbacca on this picture

Solo and chewbacca got hired by some farmers to protect them against a speeder bike gang and solo and chewbbac need help so they hire some more guys for the job. Great story Luke also leave Yavin 4 to find a new Rebel Base.

Serji-X Arrogantus the bad guy in the story that more look like a cowboy

Solo hires Jimm Doshun, The Droid FE-9Q that they call a robot in the comic and they could for sure have made it better , Amaiza Foxtrain, Hedji, Jaxxon, A fake Jedi I think named Don-Wan Kihotay Here are all 8 of the picture.

oh and here we have luke skywalker scout ship that we never see again in other comics after a few more stories, I guess it is a very rare ship
