Thanks for putting my mind to rest - it was starting to buy me.

I'd never heard of him before but they are some impressive customs. Worrying impressive! :)

No problem, he has been around for quite a long time. His site never worked for me either JC but at least the current one shows his trademark "holographic" customs.

You can't find many pictures of his work on the net because he seems to delete them quite often but he is still about so you might be able to contact him through his ebay account (the link works on his site) or failing that he is on RS.

I can't say with complete certainty that the Snaggletooth is one of Isashi's customs but from memory the only two customisers that produced figures like this were Mark Poon and Isashi, with Mark being more interested in running off thousands of identical customs and Isashi offering his services for one off customs I can only guess it is one of his as I have never seen another holographic Snaggletooth.

Morning people

Contacted the buyer who said that it was a figure only released in Japan????? I have had other replies on ebay telling me it ws the work of the fella mentioned previous (although I cannot get on his website?? it is just a blank screen??)

Anyone interested in it let me know although I have no idea of a value - can anybody help?

I will see if I can contact him through his website and see if he can confirm if he made them.

The examples on his site are more vivid blue than mine and there is no snaggletooth but I guess it could be an earlier model.
I am still confused by the number codes inside the body though.

It is a modern cast copy, no matter who made it. Kenner did not do prototypes in any color near to a translucent. As far as price goes, I would say value is the same as one of Poons translucent fetts, so around $25.00 tops.

The numbers and letters are inside all of the kenner torsos, you just can't see them if the figure is not translucent . The numbers correspond with the mold cavity the figure came from and can be used for quality control while manufacturing or keeping track of which front goes with which backside while assembling .

Very interesting batman. I never knew that, so I take it you took apart a couple vintage figs huh

I have sent messages to Ishasi and the guy on ebay selling holographic Boba Fetts hopefully one will confirm they have done a snaggletooth.

I collect mildly played with to heavily abused jawas, so i have a couple of figures that fell apart by themselves.

It's a custom job for the 2nd time. Nothing more..nothing less. Date stamps are part of the repro casting (two part mold using an original deconstructed figure). Not to come off as an ass, but you appear to be fishing for someone to make an offer based on the fact that .............."gee it could be a proto or hardcopy"...which it is not.

" Gee.........you do come across as an ass!"

I have no knowledge on proto or hardcopies which is why I joined this forum.

Been in touch with Ishasi who is a very nice fella and he has asked me to send a picture as he did a few many years ago.

I am not fishing for anything just interested to find out who made it.

Thank you to everyone else for all the help

Dave

You came on here for advice and appear to be ignoring it. I know Poon did not make it...so if the other customizer states he did not make it..............what are you going to assume it is????
