Would like to get your opinions on how to best display a collection of mocs when it comes to temperatures..

As the only alternative my collection is displayed in my loft, its fully isolated and has been used as a spare bedroom.. Summers here are typically around 25-27 degrees Celsius and winters down to around -5 maybe -7 degrees tops. The only way I can temperature control the enviroment is by using fans in the summer and heating with an oven in the winter.

So at which temperatures can I safely store my Mocs ? Is 25-30 degrees okay, or is there a remote chance this will affect them in any way ? Would assume our friends in the southern US encounter alot higher temperatures.

As to Sunlight this has been blocked out completely and I would assume sunlight would be worse than temperature ?

All inputs are highly appreciated :)

I store my collection on display in the loft. Because it does get warm up there in summer i tend to have the hatch opened slightly. I made a catch that leaves it ajar and keeps it around the same temperature as the house. Fans sound a bit extreme to be honest. Some people have dehumidifiers to keep the moisture down. I guess how far you go depends on the value of your collection. If you had a collection worth thousands then the care you take would obviously reflect that.

That's actually our job for this week - moving anything that can be effected by the heat from the loft to the garage.
Still got some old toys up there and a lot of our daughters favourite toys. Was shocked at how hot it gets in the summer.

Here's the link to the website I bought my UV film from - they have some excellent info on how to minimise fading from UV and temperature

They offer free samples and I have bought from them a couple of times. We went for the Prestige 70, can't recommend it enough :D
