Hi all,
Whilst sorting through my Star Wars figure collection from the 70s,I have come across a Darth Vader figure in very nice original condition. After much searching it appears to be a double telescoping lightsabre edition, with vinyl cape.
On the back of the left leg it is stamped with the copyright symbol, and looks like CMFG1 1977 and then underneath Hong Kong.
Any articles we have found seem to point to the fact that if this is indeed the original,it is very rare and of high value. If anyone could help me establish any more information I would be very grateful. The lightsabre is fully intact working with the figure, limbs of the figure are stiff and it stands upright although it is not carded.
Thankyou in advance
Tim

After much more thorough googling we think we have discovered that it is not the double telescopic version just the telescopic.Pictures will be posted asap and any help or advice would be really appreciated.
Many Thanks
Tim

Hey Tim

Quite a few people see that article and think they are sat on a goldmine - least you have realised now!

If your vader is in good shape with not rips to his cape and his lightsabre intact with tip and not stress marks then you are probably looking at about £12-£15 for him

Many thanks for your reply,I am having trouble uploading pics at the moment. The figure is in excellent condition so will see what happens with it.The articles we found were quite misleading and contradicting with regards to what we had,so after alot of time and patience I have realised what it is I do actually have.
Again,many thanks for your help.
Tim

Your not the first to make this mistake and I doubt you will be the last

At least you have taken the time to look at several internet sites to determine you have the normal telescoping saber.

Hi Tim
If its from your childhood it's priceless mate :D
Hope it starts you on the SW Vintage collecting path
Stick around, there are some really helpful guys that will give good advice and there is plenty of opportunity to build your collection right here

My advice is prize your Vader bud 8)

What you guys on about?

Actually I've been offline as I sprained my ankle yesterday falling off a flight of steps. Ripped a hole in my pants, gashed my knee, sprained an ankle and hit my head off a concrete block.

Damn I liked those pants.

Brothers, I'm obviously missing something here?

I think it might be a dig at JC's brother Mumbo - who announced during one thread that he had TWO DT Vaders - only to realise that they were just the plain ole normal ones

Is it safe to come of the woodwork, nope........ :D

And I thought....... well at least only a handful of people know, doh
