Bit of over confidence going into that first test and sadly England reverting back to the bad old days. But in the last 4-5 years they have bounced back from set backs to show their true quality so am still hopeful that they will turn it around :? Swanny missing could be a real problem though.

I wouldn't worry too much. I cant see England winning this test now. They need a fecking miracle. But a draw is still possible, especially as it seems to rain almost as much in NZ as it does here.
England will pull their fingers out and win the remaining tests, weather permitting. No disrespect to NZ but cricket comes a pretty distant second to rugby down there and they are a small country as it is. They do incredibly well to compete at test level, and as someone who comes from a small country i mean that as a genuine compliment not some patronising pat on the back BS.

Missed the Bangladesh score. I did see a bit of the first innings and there was a double century and 2 other centuries. Looks like the pitch was a bit of a road. Sri Lanka aint the team they were but that's still some effort by Bangladesh.
If the weather has it's way I could see this secodn test between NZ and England being a draw as well. England 230 odd at close of play on day one. They must have been watch Geoff Boycott's 'how to bat' videos.

3rd day in the last test or england v NZ! england's over confidence has seen them come undone......unless someone digs deep either one of cook,trott or maybe compton in the last innings there gonna lose the series! how embarrising! then again KP could blast a double ton and they could snatch a final session win, doubt it though. panesar has been below par this series......

australia have lost 4-0 to india :lol: in their test series. peter siddle aus's number 9 top scorer for aus in both innings back to back 50's not bad at all......but doesnt say alot for the front men when he out scores them, aus's batting line up clearly need new blood!

It ain't going to happen, defeat is pretty much assured and despite giving away cheap wickets I think the decision to bowl first clearly backfired :roll: we should be beating nz, no disrespect but they are 8th in the rankings and only have a handful of decent experienced players so it's disappointing to have thrown this one away. But if you need cheering up then remind yourselves that Australia lost 4-0 in India :lol: roll on the ashes

This is true, they have great sporting mentality but all the pressure is on them having dominated for so long and to then lose the last two, the whole aussie nation expects them to win regardless and at the moment they don't have the team to do it. It's great going into the series as favs and we are going to spank them, Cook will reign supreme
