Ed Joyce played for Ireland before you lot stole him! Then he saw sense, lol, and came back.
Sad to see teams like Ireland doing well and Scotland and Afghanistan coming on leaps and bounds yet the ICC have decided to reduce the number of teams in the next WC. That's a total kick in the teeth to all associate members and the dumbest decision I have ever heard as far as trying to spread the popularity of your game goes.
Sure the Cricket WC is ridiculously long, and long winded, but why not have sixteen teams, four groups of four. Top two progress to straight knock out. That should allow the top test playing teams through but it also allows the lesser nations a chance to test themselves.

It was the older ECB regime that told KP he would be considered if he did well in county cricket. No secret how Strausy feels about him. Once he got the job KP was never getting in again. Saying that, it is only one innings so to early to say for sure that he's really nailing county cricket. Also, it's not his skills that are in doubt, it's his attitude. I suspect a lot of the senior players in the England team don't like him and don't want him back. How would you feel if someone you worked with called you a wanker in their book and the national papers and then came back to work!?
KP burnt his bridges a long time ago. His response to the events of the last 24 hours only prove that the ECB are better off without him. Fantastic player, but complete ball bag. You can only get away with behaviour like that for so long before people get sick and tired of you.
