Sorry to any binmen on the forum..

Just had our collection done (5 days late due to Xmas hols) - the binmen who take the black bags have refused to take the 4 small black bags we had outside the wheelie bin and while they were down our road they demolished a tree opposite us and left a huge broken branch in the road which cars are swerving to avoid now..

I called up the council and asked what the deal was and they said they don't pick up side waste only what is in the wheelie bin..I said but you came a week later than normal how can I not have extra waste at Christmas? I could have gone out myself and put it in the bloody truck!

The second woman I spoke to was brave enough to say "if you were recycling properly you wouldn't have extra waste" I said that's a good one, the recycling van that picks up our cardboard boxes hasn't been seen for 3 weeks I have a shed full of it! ****ers!

As for the tree..****ed if I am picking it up! Hope they get more complaints.

The most annoying part of it is, they always take their council tax on time!!!

Unfortunately you can't win with the binmen. I had a twat who refused to take my bin because it was too heavy for the machine once. I had to put it in another street after a few weeks - funny the machine lifted it then fine. Every Xmas I know I'm off to the local skip with lots and lots of black bin bags.

It's one of the things that annoys me most Joe. I make sure my two boys stand at the window and wave at them on collection day. I got them to make a 'special' christmas card for them this year. Needless to say, my binmen take everything I leave out for them.

Us bin men we always try too keep the honest tax paying people happy I shall talk too my superiors about these issues and I won't rest until justice is done :D

Don't start me on Council tax.
ANOTHER of the many ridiculous taxes in this country that we getting NOTHING for and yet people blindly accept paying it.

As for your bin, next time glue the extra bags to the top of the bin and make sure you have a few rotten eggs in there, or rub some **** all over the handle.

Years ago (and I'm talking probably Star Wars Vintage Years  ) I remember the Binmen would take almost anything.

Nowadays it's it's a bin for this a bin for that, you can't overfill it in the the slightest, you have to wheel the bloody thing to outside your house - not too early as the council (around where I live anyway) get 'funny' as it's a blot on the landscape and if your late with the bin you've had it!

Its all down to health and safety. If the bin lid is even slightly open, the bin is overflwoing so is unsafe for then to move or lift. Utter rubbish!!
