Completing "hard" sets

How long would it take for all of those Palitoys to come up for sale, sith-smith? Is having the right contacts key? ... I must admit, I'm way out of my league here, but it is still interesting.

I can't remember how long it took, I think I got the first in 2004, the last in 2010, though I didn't decide to go for the complete run of 10 until maybe 2006 because I had the complete run on 30a already.

Contacts help, that got me two of them. The rest were largely good fortune and timing. In many cases that's the bigger issue than having the money.

Having the money ready if the pieces you need come up for sale is essential as it's the only element in your control.

True, but it's just money sitting there until chance etc come along
