collection that is possibly up for grabs

Hi guys,

I have declared my interest via PM in buying this as a bulk lot.

I've also been very fair and advised him that his best course of action is obvioulsy to sell separately, to take his time, research and get valuations.

Selling 94 MOC Figures is no mean feet for anyone, let alone someone who has just inherited the collection.

I appreciate that everyone will want to make offers on individual or a few cards and possibly the whole lot, at the moment, I find myself in a position to buy this as a lot, but don't fear, if I am succesful they will be sold on the boards, if, that is Andy is willing to do a hassle free deal. :D

Please give him all the help he needs as usual and hopefully everyoe's a winner!

Cheers

Bram

In addition to Nick's post:

Just a reminder to SWF members with regard to offering £ for this collection - don't put yourself or the seller in a situation where you are creating a private auction.

If you are happy to offer a sum of money by all means do so but try not to get into back and forth with the seller who is also accepting offers from other members.

The best situation is the seller is given valuations/offers in private or in public and is then given time to compare them and come back with set prices for his pieces.

Hopefully nothing untoward happens this time around and the sale goes smoothly for all involved!

Priced up your Trilogos for you, think these are fair considering the bubble damage on a few of them.

"LUCK SKYWALKER " - its that Luke's brother

To be fair - I think Joe's prices are about spot on - a lot of these Trilogos appear to have a few issues with the bubbles

I PM'd Andrew saying that Joe was the main man when it comes to Tri Logos. I have been proved right.

I'd publicly say, bravo to Bram if he could raise the capitol to buy the lot. Obviously Andrew would do better if he took the time to sell them individually, but i'm hoping that maybe this could be the break that Bram is long overdue.

I'll watch this space, hoping that the Yoda ends up in my collection, whoever sells him to me!

Once again, you are one lucky mo fo Andrew, neither of my Grandads lived long enough to see me get born :( , i didn't even get a bag of Worther's Original, you've got enough there for a very nice holiday!

Ah, i thought you had one, hence the Avatar

Hey Andrew,

I have taken some time to price up your collection using the pics from the link you posted. I will admit I may be out on a few but hopefully not by much. I have tried to be optimistic if anything on the pricing as the condition of quite a few of your carded figures looks good which will help them sell. Joe is the man really when it comes to Tri Logos but I have done my best on those too. (He says fingers crossed)

I have not put together a grand total but Im sure you will be able to do that your self. It goes without saying that the total that comes from adding these up will not be a realistic expectation if you look to sell them as a large lot. Likewise I cannot say for certain that individual cards will reach set prices as it can sometimes be a volitile market full of surprises but like I say, I have tried to be realistic.

I hope you find this of use in the near future.

All the best, Chris. 8)

 sadly no, not mine just a free avatar on the site!! To be honest Jez I'm not that worried at the moment as I'm saving my money for the Star Wars day @ All The Cool Stuff.

Anyway, I digress off topic. I think between Joe and Chris they have covered just about everything there Andrew. They are both very knowledgable collectors so think their prices are spot on really.

I had a quick scan of Chris's list and I would agree with the prices stated Andrew, hopefully between the two lists (At least for the Trilogos) you have a better idea of what your collection is worth now and can set some prices on things for those that are interested.

You have two options really, the long and hard option of selling it all individually will be worth it in the long run as you will get more for your items but it will take time and plenty of effort, if you went for the second option - a bulk buy out then you would ultimately get less money but rid yourself of the task of selling/sending them all out to different parts of the world, weigh up the pros and cons and good luck!

Many thanks to Joe and Chris for taking the time to put the lists together, its just what i need!

I am going to take a bit of time to evaluate my situation, but i will definitely be back on here once i have made a decision.

Thanks again for all your kind help. :)

cheers,

Andy.

Hi guys,

I have discovered MORE star wars stuff and was wondering if you could help me out with some more evaluations.

i have found a-

Sy Snootles Rebo Band (tri logo, palitoy) inside box sealed with instructions and cardboard dividers.
http://imgur.com/0aKUP

Scout Walker Vehicle (tri logo, palitoy) inside box sealed with instructions and cardboard dividers.
http://imgur.com/dvx1B

Jabba the Hutt action playset (kenner, 1983) inside box sealed with instructions and cardboard dividers.
http://imgur.com/Omyyk

Endor Forest Ranger vehicle (tri logo, palitoy) inside box sealed with instructions and cardboard dividers.
http://imgur.com/Sg592

Also a bunch of star wars books, 2 star wars annuals (no1) a over the shoulder Jedi bag(!) and a Jedi pencil case! I can post pics of these later if you are interested.

It would seem my Grandpa was serious about Star Wars!

Any help you can give would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers,

Andy.

I mean they are in the box and appear to be the way they came from the shop.
they have wee plastic sealed bags of bits and cardboard holding the toys in place.
The Walker had a plastic seal on the lid that I cut with a Stanley to have a peek. :)
The others have been opened, but it appears none of the parts have ever left the box.
