Hi,
My Grandfather was a big Sci-Fi and Star Wars fan, and so was i, so when he bought a toy for me he bought 1 (some times 2 or 3) for a box which has remained hidden for years.
i recently inherited them and im thinking of selling them.

There are 48 ROTJ cards, 45 Tri Logo and 1 ESB.

Here is a high quite a high res pic, zoom in for more detail-

Here is a list of the figures-

I am kind of looking for an easy sale, but any help or advice you guys can give would be appreciated.

cheers,

Andy.

Yup it sure is, and i know, i a VERY lucky.
What do you think about selling it? Would i be best to sell it item by item, or as a collection?
I have photographed all the figures but i would take ages to upload all of them.

I haven't opened the links yet

I'm always cautiously paranoid about clicking links from folk i don't know.

Sounds like there may be a bit of a treasure trove there.

That is quite possibly the best haul that has turned up this year, there have been plenty of loft finds in recent times but it always puts a smile on my face when I see so many carded figures turn up out of nowhere (especially when we live in a collecting age where U grading has taken away so many sealed figures)

From what I can see, you have a really nice selection of figures there, unfortunately there seem to be condition issues with the bubbles on most of them (especially with the Trilogos) which will affect value a bit but..still it's a very nice find.

Doing some basic math and some very low estimates, if you were to sell each one for £40 and you have 94? You are looking at just under £4k there. Nice inheritance from Grandad!

In reality though, some of those figures are easily worth £100-150 (Trilogo Princess Leia/DSD) not to mention Yak Face..

Good luck sorting through this and thanks for sharing - my advice: Take your time and take lots of pictures - I highly doubt you are going to sell these as a bulk lot to someone unless you shave off a lot of £ to make it worthwhile for the buyer to resell, so if you sell them individually you are going to need to be able to show pictures of their condition to all your interested buyers.

Oh and invest in some cardboard boxes, bubble wrap and get friendly with your post office staff :D

I always think its one of you guys messing around :)

Well, the user name has a few interesting anagrams but i bet all of ours do!!

But i'd be happy to give him the benefit of the doubt!!

Lovely collection, i hope its genuine.

 holy ****!

Great haul there dude!

You really need to state whereabouts in the world you are- it would help you out no end if a member on here could personally verify your collection.
You have some great pieces there and this a brilliant forum to sell!

Do not stick them on eBay! It will cost you a fortune and no member on here (providing they were registered before your first post  ) will screw you over

I would definitely be interested in a couple of pieces.

cool, i live in glasgow so if any one is from that neck of the woods to verify give me a shout.
i will be in edinburgh on wednesday too if that suits anyone.

cheers,

Andy.

not too sure if this will work, but here is the link to the full collection. Copy and paste.

Please get in touch if you are interested.

Andrew,

You have posted this in the valuation thread... did you want values or do you have a price in mind for them and want to sell them?

I really, really hope you do have a price in mind and that you have done your research.

As I already said, no member on here will screw you out of a sale, but, in the past, a couple of us on here have been burned when unknowingly they have been used by a new member to push up the price of an item

As I said, I am interested in a couple of moc's you have but I am not not going to blindly submit a bid when others are interested.

You might want to ask a moderator to move this thread to the for sale section.

And i'll say it once again... that is a lovely haul!

I would really like evaluations, it would help me a great deal.

I also would like to say the forum has been great so far, really helpful and friendly. Great place you guys have here!
:D

Hi Andrew

A collection like that would generate a lot more interest being sold as individual MOC's rather than a whole collectio. I think its very hard to sella whole collection as people will only be after certain MOC's so would be put of buying if it was advertised as one lot.

Also selling individually would generate better prices per MOC than in bulk.

Im interested in one particular MOC if you decide to sell which ive already PM'd you aobut.

Good luck, fantastic collection to have. 8)
