Coco's Vintage Yoda Focus (so far)...

Hi Frunkstar,

I'm not 100% sure about the Yoda statue but I think he was made from one of those Molding kits that were produced in the Mid-90s. I have a set somewhere and will have a look for it later to compare and I'll let you know if they are the same. How tall is he by the way?

Those 2 Dagobah sets are excellent 8) another 2 variations for me to hunt for!! Is the one on the right a Palitoy?

Love your loose Yodas as well and if you ever feel like trading or selling them on then just give me a shout

I think you may be right about the tall figure about 6-7" tall including stand.

The loose one's are firmly inbedded in my varient loose collection, but if they ever do go, you will be first in line ;).

What a dur-brain, I had not noticed that it was the Palitoy box, maybe I had better keep that one to :? this can get seriously expensive :|

the 2nd from the right loose yoda... thats the weirdest colour snake i seen??

its like pea green??

Yes it's an oddity for sure, but it came to me from a lofted collection so I assume it's not repo?, as all his stuff was vintage & clearly covered in 20 years of loft dust.

I'm not so convinced about the orange snake though :?: as it is made from much More rigid/harder plastic than the brown or green snakes, but I have no others to go on, any ideas if thats normal or do I have repo in my collection

Ps I will pop up in to the loft & get the snakes down for a close up.

Don't think I need to look any further, god this hobby has turned in to a nightmare since I left 20 years ago, repo this custom that ahhhhh!!.

I sure the orange snake is real now & the light green is either repo or polish

That will teach me to look closely, but I expect I have this one muddled up with the light green one, that one must have come with the collection, from a local lad.

Sorry mate but it don't look too good for your Green Snake

What sort of material is it made from and has it been painted?

I honestly thought you had a very rare/unique variant there :(

it seems to made of the same material (rubber??) as the vintage brown & green snakes totally unlike the orange one, but it's only molded on 1 side & quite flat & rough at the same time on the under side.

It's not paint, hold on I will take some close ups, this has turned in to a thread high-jack, should I start a separate thread as I don't wan to offend?

Added a few close ups, not very good lighting though, what do you think, not the usual repo stuff :|

Don't worry about that!
Pretty much all threads on here go miles and miles off topic. No one is really that bothered, we're a pretty laid back lot.

Well done on tonights addition Coco !!

I was tempted to bid on it myself but I saw you were the top bidder so I left it alone, plus I did plan to remove it from the card so it was too pricey anyway !!

Thanks Craig

I had been considering buying a mint one from Toytoni a couple of weeks ago and when I saw this one come up I thought I was gonna get a real bargain. Sadly, I had to go out in a hurry earlier so I just put my maximum bid on  and a few peeps bid it up!

I was supposed to give Yoda a break for a little while  but a few have appeared over the last week or so and my interest has been totally rekindled, so 1 or 2 more then I'm definately back to my main focus

I'm a variant hunter matey, just like you :D Just got a little side tracked over the last few months with Yoda

I have been buying some other items as well but they are mostly ships, playsets and upgrades on items that look a bit past it.
