I found my old Star Wars collection. I wondered if someone might be able to tell me how best to sell it.

We lived in France in 1984 and 1985, so some of the figures are French (though I don't know which ones, except the three boxed ones).

I've tried to identify them from various websites, but have doubtless made mistakes.

This is what I found:

Boxed, unopened

Ben Kenobi (Meccano, 1977) boxed
Yoda (Brown Snake, French, Miro-Meccano 1983) boxed
See-Threepio (C-3PO) (With removable limbs) (English/French/Spanish box, 1983) boxed

Unboxed

1977

Ben Kenobi (missing lightsabre, no COO)
Chewbacca (COO melted off)
Jawa (no cape)
R2D2 (Hong Kong)

1978

Luke X Wing (raised empty COO bar)

1979

Bobba Fett (Tri-logo painted knee?)

1980

Han Solo (Hoth) (COO removed, PALITOY)
Luke (Hoth) (Hong Kong)
Luke (Bespin) (COO removed)
Lando Carlrissian (COO removed)
Leia (Bespin) (COO removed, turtle neck, no cape)
Leia (Hoth) (raised China) - I have the card which came with it, though it's damaged
Snowtrooper (COO removed, sculpt 1)
Yoda (no COO) cape missing

1981

MLC - missing lid, dodgy wheels, bad condition

1982

Lando (Skiff Guard) (COO removed)
Vehicle Maintenance Energiser (missing several attached parts)
Scout Walker (missing lid)

1983

Biker Scout (Taiwan)
Chief Chirpa (no COO)
Luke (Jedi) (COO removed)
Logray (Kong Kong)
Emperor's Guard (Taiwan)
The Emperor
Rebel Commando
Speeder Bike (missing several parts)
AST-5

1984

Desert Sail Skiff (missing some detachable parts)
Tie Interceptor
AT-ST Driver (Taiwan) - I have the card which came with it, though it's damaged
Leia Endor (missing cape and hat)
Wicket W Warrick (Taiwan)
Han Endor (missing cape)

1985

Luke Endor Poncho

Most of these show a few signs of wear and tear (they were played with a lot) and haven't got all the weapons/ accessories that might have come with them, so I doubt they are worth much.

I thought I should check whether the French/boxed ones were rarer, though, and if I should do anything other than put the lot on ebay.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Martin

OK, that may take a little time...

Here are the boxed ones for the moment:

I'll try to get the others up this afternoon.

Thanks

I know very little about carded foriegn figures but can safely assure you that if you wanted to sell them then you wouldn't have any problems doing so on here

Your Meccano Yoda could well net you about $700 if not more. A recent sale was in the $600 area and the bubble on the figure was not fully sealed (common problem with Meccano figures)

Very nice selection of toys indeed, your C3P0 is a French release as well, it's got the vinyl sheet behind the figure + a Meccano style bubble. Definitely a cool piece.

Will you be selling your items here?

Thanks very much for your replies.

I had no idea that they could be worth that much!

I've only just joined, so don't really know how to sell here - I'm going to go and have a look at the selling forum to learn more.

Thanks again - I'll be back later with more pictures (of the unboxed figures).

Hasn't the bubble on the Yoda been opened and then taped back down? :?
I could be interested if it was originally sealed.

Tape can often be found on the bubbles on Meccano cards, they were pretty bad from the factory so they sometimes taped them there to keep them sealed. I would gamble on that being 30 year old factory/store tape unless Martin says otherwise.

I can't be sure, but I doubt that it has been opened and re-sealed: the unopened figures were in my mum's present box, which she used to keep for friends' birthdays.

I suppose it's possible that she might have resealed it with tape, but I think it's unlikely.

Here are some of the unboxed figures.

I've no idea if any of these are interesting or not, or if I am photographing the right features...

Hey Martin, your loose Boba Fett is a harder to find Meccano version as well (it's the No COO version) (( COO means Country of origin - most figures are Hong Kong, but there are also China and Taiwan COO's as well))

I might be interested to add it to my loose Fett collection :D

It's worth more than most loose Fett's so I will let someone else value it as I wouldn't want to get a bargain or anything like that would I (cough cough jawa cough cough)

Keep me in mind mate :)

Outside of the Fett- your loose figures look pretty common, you have a Han Trenchcoat coat on your Lando Bespin though.

Most loose played with figures without weapons run £1-3 quid each, keep on adding pics though you might have some better ones :)

Thanks again for your advice.

Glad that the Boba Fett seems interesting. I doubt many of the rest are, but here we go:
