I know it's early, but is there going to be a secret Santa thing this year? I still have December's Star wars budget left and I am more than happy to spend it on someone else :D

I think who ever wants to play puts there name down. You set a rough price ie. 30 pounds. Draw a name out of a hat and buy them a present :) I think the RS one, you found out who your santa was(but then it is not a secret) some of the presents on RS where really nice( I don't know how you can buy a MOC and a sealed mini rig for $30) but I'd be really happy if Santa got me anything this year. I've been bad

Thanks Bollux, count me in. What "rules" are there? ie. minimum spend etc. I think not too much- it's the thought that counts :) & it has to wrapped in christmas paper.

You done a great job last year Chris, fair play to you fo ofering to do it again.

I'm definately in 8)

Hi James

The RS budget is only 30 dollars buts that's a minimum.

For those who want to get something more expensive its up to them but 30 dollars is the guide present price. Some of the richer , super collectors tend to go higher especially if the person they are buying has a particular focus, they know or like the guy and they managed to source a real quality item for their run.

Also the RS Secret Santa is totally Secret lol Its in January when all the participants have confirmed receipt of the gift that a who sent who's list is reveled.

The main thing is if you agree to participate then you stick to it! I think someone pulled out near the end last year on SWF (not sure who) and that's happened in previous years on RS (Last year on RS was 100% successful with just a few parcels arriving after Xmas Day) So if you do go in for it make sure you follow through guys.

Its a great thing to participate in and getting a secret vintage parcel picked by another collector made my Xmas day last year.

Jay

How'd it work last year. Did everyone find out who thier gift was from?

EDIT: Thanks Jay lol

Dunno how i'd buy cheap for you lot tho, there wouldn't be much on the cheaper side left for some of you!

Oh and Chris make Tim my secret santa as he has promised me a TolToys VC Jawa for ages now and this will be his chance to make good

My present never turned up last year and I was such a good boy

Why Santa? Why?

That is **** Stephen :( Was that the RS or SWF one?

This highlights why if you do participate then backing out last minute or simply not sending something is really poor sport. The aim is to ensure everyone receives an item so its worth using a decent postage method.

That said its a super fun thing to do and that little extra at Xmas :p
