Right....

Had the usual day of swearing, being jabbed by holly, fighting with the tree and then untangling the lights.
Then I leave it to my better half to do the real work of decorating

Thought it would be fun to post up pics, so lets see your efforts for the festive period :D post your Crimble pics up :D

Just finishing off, then will put pics up :D

Took the words out of my mouth Jeff, classic look... Very nice Mike.

What we really want is garish 70's decor. Lots of multi coloured tinsel, dangle foil things hanging from the ceiling, maybe even some crepe paper, and paper chains made at school.

Blimey Mike, you have a lovely house :)

Very nice. Has a Victorian Christmas look about it.

When we sort ours i'll post some photos

Victorian...like me

Look forward to seeing some pics guys :D

In fact...I'm setting a challenge.....try to incorporate something SW related, so the better half doesn't notice it, see if you can get away with it...

Good luck....I know I'm gonna need it :?

Haha! Cool photo. Liking the extra effort of taking collectibles into Asda while you are at work. Good stuff 8)

Looks very classy indeed Michael :)

Loving the vintage under the tree Colin, I'd be too paranoid to take anything like that out of my house

 great stuff, on full show for the world to see :D

Be interesting to see some pics from outside the UK guys?

Love the whole feel of Christmas, we are very traditional, even to the extent at New Year of a Dark haired man ( me) taking a piece of coal out of the back door on New Year's Eve and into the front door...supposed to bring luck and fortune

Victorian look snow globes, Christmas music, always make my own Christmas cake,

I think in a time when money is tight and lots of depressing things going on in the world, it's a great time to celebrate what you have and look to the future with a positive spin

Couldn't resist a poem: sorry for being soppy

When your smallest wish just won't come true,
The world at your door, you can't see a way through,
Sit back, take a breath...take time to reflect and consider,
The truth I'm sure it will deliver
What you really have, is always there,
Realise this, and well you'll fare.
The moon the stars and the sea of blue,
The morning chorus, sung just for you,
The sparkle in the eyes of the one you hold most dear,
disappointment and frustration you need not fear.
You have it all, laid at your feet,
Your dreams, your hopes will always be there to greet,
I dream, I hope, but as time passes by,
I never forget what a lucky man am I
I have my Soul Mate, and children ...I am a family man,
Safe in that knowledge I will try to be all that I can.
So take a moment, take a look youll see,
You probably are a lucky man just like me

All the best to everyone for Christmas :D

Here's our effort ...my first post has vanished into the ether and will no doubt appear randomly somewhere :?

Yoda top of the tree...awesome :D

Cracking pics, you can't beat the home made kids decorations either, now that's Christmas :D

Love it :D

If you look closely there is a Henry VIII from the Tower of London, a Yellow Submarine from Liverpool, and a London bus from, err ...London. There's also some bagpipes somewhere. We pick up decorations each year on our travels :)
