How, on God's green earth, can that mess of a woman actually be used as an actress in Episode VII? Or any other movie for that matter!!! She's clearly had wat too much ammel nitrate over the years and acts, moves and talks like my dead nanna!!! Am i on my own here guys! I;m just stunned after watching that!

No you're not on your own Chiffy, quite shocked with her mannerisms.

To think back in 1980 this is the same woman who played Princess Leia dressed in her Bespin Gown (the most striking, feminine and beautiful of all her outfits). I just can't believe it's the same person.

I accept we all age, but........it's more than her looks it's just not the 'Leia' we all know. I hope she can somehow (miracle worker??) capture the 'hidden Princess Leia' within her
 
Can't believe I missed this. If it's as much of a car crash as you guys are saying, I might well dig it out of the catch-up schedule. Sounds like a hoot!
 
No way was it a car crash. We are not talking Kerry Katona on morning telly here. She's pushing 60 years old. She's had drug issues. She's bipolar. She has had electro treatments. Yet during the interview she was funny, charming and sweet and every bit a princess. You guys are mean.

considering she was scifi screen icon for the 70's 80's she didnt do much else i wonder why......... i remember she was in the burbs in 1989, same could be said for mark hamil he faded away... strange , though he did well in animated voices in the 90s batman and all.

I'm with Fuzzy on this, don't think it was as bad as people are making out. I was expecting an eye rolling slurring performance but thought she came across just fine and like Jamie says she has been through a lot of addiction issues and other things so stop being mean :P

Agreed she wont be able to pull of the bikini outfit but then I've never been into grannies so that's fine with me :D
