Hi there,

Although i've been collecting a long time, i'm relatively new to carded figures and am still learning the tell tale signs for repros or recards.

Recently i bought a small collection that included a couple of cardbacks. Nothing about the rest of the collection was off but i was a little unsure about the two pictured below - mainly the shape of the blister that has been removed. Leia's looks like it was a double stem and of to the right of the blue background part of the card, and Lando's looks quite a bit larger than i would have expected. I've compared both cardbacks to moc figures that i know are genuine and the print quality and card weight are identical so no worries there. The punch holes also looks to me like they are in the right place. Just the shape of the blister that was previously attached that aroused my suspicions.

If anyone can shed any light or put my mind at rest, it would be much appreciated. Thanks :)

Dont worry they are fine mate.

They are both Palitoy cards and depending on the card issue they could have different bubbles.

The leia card is a beauty, and its a double stem.
I have a Palitoy At At driver double stem sealed card and the bubble is also off to the side like that one

So all good :D

Really? I was looking at the Leia one thinking it was a bit sus. The way the bubble was bonded on doesn't look right to me. The fakes are just stuck on with double sided tape type stuff and that pull off looks very neat. Colour looks right though.

I'm not as good as some of these guys so don't take my word for it 8) Lando looks fine.

Hi all,

Thanks for taking the time to put my mind at rest, much appreciated. A lot to learn with the various cardback variations!

Glad my input was good, I'm learning guys!!

I remember as a kid some bubbles came off fairly cleanly :D and others would rip half the card off

Looks like you got two good 'uns there matey. Nice one 8) Always worth asking if you're not sure. We're all learning

Absolutely Barry - It is actually a really good question, great for inexperienced (and some of us intermediate) collectors to take a look at
