Card Back Photos, If you could change one.........

Heres one I was thinking of lately, I always thought that some of the Original Vintage Card Backs would have looked cooler if different photos that were used on later cards had been used on the original card backs. As an example, I always prefered the picture on the ROTJ Card of Luke in the Gunner seat over the photo on the original 12 Back, would have loved to see this with the original Star Wars logo, also thought that some of the card backs would have looked better if different screen shots from the movies had been used, some just look plain boring.... :lol:

Just wondering do you guys have any other ideas on card backs that you would change or customize if given the chance...... :?:

I couldn't agree with you more, some of the original images used are a bit lacking. Having said that though they have all become iconic (for us anyway) for each figure.

I think At At Commander was a strange one, he is not even on it (unless you look through the At At windows and squint a bit). I would change this one to a picture of Mr Veers himself.

I think the AT-AT Commander card is really cool, but you're right it probably should have a photo of him on it.

I always thought both Ben Kenobi photos were crap. The first one especially, yellow lightsabre in the pitch black!? :lol:

The At At Commander is a cool image (my sons personal favourite) with or without Mr Veers.

I think 4-Lom and Zuckuss could definitely do with different pictures :?

Funny that, I actually think the at-at along with the at-st are a couple of the better cards as well . Always liked the ESB Hoth cards, luke, Han etc.

The cloud car pilot is one that springs to mind as being fairly poor. Always thought that Boba Fett could have been done better :?:

I don't like Ben Kenobi's pictures either. Same goes with Vader (what an amazing variation that is! :shock: ).
Always hated the "fake/painted" Boba Fett pic. It's the mian reason i've never found that MOC desirable. And considering the price they fetch i've always been glad. Having said that i love the late ROTJ and trilogo pic for Fett. 8)
IG-88 on trilogo is by far the worst card-back there is. Bad enough not to want to own it at all. I certainly wouldn't. What were they thinking?? The Stormtrooper is a bit dull. Chewbacca ROTJ pic is lame. Greedo's and Walrus Man's are both naff. Tho Walrus's is plain hideous! Another "painted" pic. I hate all the painted pics. (Fett, Walrus, Anakin...)
FX-7's pic is ****ing stupid. Not keen on the ATAT driver's. Shame cos he's a cool figure.
And last but by no means least, this monstrosity...

Already mentioned but the CCP was crapola & what a shame as its a figure I love, a scene with the cloud car jetting past would have been way cooler IMO, walrus man also sucks balls, even looks like it :lol:

C c pilot, Han Bespin and Tie fighter pilot are three that spring to mind. All crap and ones I never wanted as a kid cos I thought they looked boring! The Ben Kenobi is quite lame too, and the DSC.

You're spot on with the Anakin and Boba pictures, funny that they get away with fake/painted scenes for the backdrops in some of the films but the cardbacks stick out like sore thumbs.
