This is my first post, so hello to everyone.
I have had a Cantina since childhood. The card base has now come away from its plastic top. What would be the best adhevsive to repair it with?
Also, I do not want to replace the original card, but it is very worn. What would other forum members suggest I do :?:

Can you post a picture?
(Easily done by uploading it to a site like photo bucket and copying the image link into a post on here)

There were from memory three vintage toy playsets that are called Cantina (or variants of that term).

- Kenner; plastic base and card back drop
- Palitoy; plastic base and card backdrop
- Kenner (sears); all card

You are noting a playset that has a card base and a plastic top... so, to tidy up what you are wanting to get comments on it might be best to pop up a photo as that doesn't fit the descriptions I would assign as above to the sets.

I think this might be the Palitoy version - which has a thin card under-base attached to the plastic base.

Post some pics if you can as Steve says, this will help us help you.

Strips of strong adhesive double sided tape might do the trick provided the card is not too warped. If it is warped there are things you can do to flatten it out.

But lets see some pics before you start ;)

Many thanks for your replies Savoury and Sublevel. Yes it is a Palitoy Cantina, the one that came without the free figures, as I remember buying Greedo etc seperately. I don't want to use anything too harsh like Superglue in case it damages the plastic.

Thanks Scott.

Careful use of PVA glue will sort that. Just apply it in a thin layer with a brush to the bits of paper that are still attached to the plastic for best results and finish. Takes a while to dry/set, but will not damage the plastic as a super glue would and although not as instant I find it easier to use than a tape.

I've never seen that happen before!

PVA should be fine. As along as nothing damages the plastic base it should all be ok.
