What a tool - I hate the old 'I can't combine postage because I've already packed it crap' - just don't pack it up before it sells - simples

It's not actually crap. I package up all my stuff just after listing, it's quicker and easier for me. And I don't want to combine postage as I lose so much to ebay/Paypal fees as it is.

Really?

I do the exact opposite as I like to give the buyer the same kind of deal that I would accept and be happy with.

I've got to earn some money some way. And it's not as if I am being underhand about it - I state everything upfront therefore if people don't agree then they don't have to bid. That said I have combine postage when people have contacted me beforehand. However some arseholes don't read descriptions and bid on lots of items and then DEMAND combined postage. Of course, in your eyes, I'm in the wrong there but I can live with that!

It might do, but so be it. If that is the case then some bidders get more of a bargain, e.g. a very nice Ugnaught (minor paint rubs, minus hand bag) for £2.99 including postage. I'd would've liked more, but someone's got a bargain, and they'll be happy with that!

Interesting.

I don't think i've ever sold enough to work out if I think thats good for me or not..... :|

Any money I make on selling pays for this addictive Palitoy habit!

Do you ship each item separately then?

Of course, I'm not going to tell people that I don't combine shipping and then package up individual wins together! I have on occasion combined postage if the buyer has messaged me before the auction end and politely asked to combine shipping then I've done so (all dependant on what the item is of course).

Not trying to be negative, but I for one would not bid on an item if the seller states the item is already packed & does not offer multiple item P&P discounts, as a seller myself I see how much work this can save & how much it can reduce time getting the item posted to the buyer, but IMO the con's outweigh the pro's & a DSR is hard to build up & not worth messing up for a couple of pence here & there.

It sucks that PP charge fees on the shipping cost & I can see that as a motivator to do individual P&P on items, but its not the buyers fault that ebay & paypal are cunts when it comes down to there fee process.

Doesn't bother me. If I didn't like it I wouldn't bid on them. If he states no combining/each is already packaged then I don't see the problem.

However if they were all packaged together then I'd complain. (Which slider is stating he doesn't do so wtp?)

There are pros and cons to each side of the argument really. But the DSR are holding up (they are a piss take really, as a certain number of bad ones and eBay put limitations on your account). But I've had no complaints so far.
