As I've sorted my focuses out, my carded droids and ewoks don't really fit in, although I want a complete collection of loose. Looking at the prices differences between loose and carded am I right in thinking for the few I have it be worth removing them from card? I feel I'd be committing a horrendous act!

No No No No No dont do it! There are plenty of loose out there already to buy so destroying a MOC because the price difference isnt that much, just no.

I think you'll get the same opinion of all on here spooked.

The Droids & Ewoks figure range are quite hard to find loose and complete and there is a massive temptation to take them from the card as these are sometimes cheaper. I have noticed the same with a couple of the POTF Ewoks and Trilogo Last 17 as well - thing is - once they are off the card then that is one less MOC in the world

With patience you will find the ones you are after and I agree with Chris, I think the bulk of posters on here would probably agree (although they are your cards to do with as you please)

I feel that in answering this question i might be subject to some sort of prank .... :?

All i can tell you is that loads of us on here bought Star Wars toys the first time round. Straight away we ripped the packaging apart to get to the gold inside. We played with and loved them. Now, however, we collect for a great number of different reasons, perhaps the most popular being nostalgia.

I occasionally tussle with the notion - what if someone had told me back in 1981 that my boxed toys might be worth a small fortune in the future? Would i have persuaded my dad to buy a shop load. Would i have kept the unopened boxes? Honestly, if i had known, then yes - too bloody right i would!

You must do what you feel is right of course 8)

You could try to offer your MOC in trade for loose ones. Not an easy thing to do as most people either collect carded or loose but sometimes you find someone who wants to go from loose to carded.

I opened a few back in the early 00's as it was almost too easy to buy multiples of Ewoks and Droids carded figures for much less than loose examples. I think I bought an entire set of Ewoks figures once for $100 shipped which worked out something silly like £12 a figure back then.

My opinion on opening figures drastically changed once I got more involved in the hobby and realised that opening really wasn't a great idea. Carded stuff should really stay carded even if it can be harder to find a mint loose example (with original accessories etc)

Lol I thought I'd start early June! Thanks for the comments guys, it's pretty much what I was thinking, just seemed like an odd position to be in to be paying the same money for something I already have! Rest assured they will remain sealed!

I have some loose mint ones (droids line) I was considering parting with, Dennis already has first dib's if I did part with them, but I am sure he would not care if one or more were carded & I don't give a rats ass, so LMK if you want any loose for MOC

Completely agree with the above!

Destroying MOCs is just a No no IMO. After a little patience some loose Droids/Ewok will come up FS :)

Place a WTT thread on the forums, i'm sure someone would swap their loose figs for your MOC's.

As may others had said before removing them from the cards is a massive no no
