Firsts of all I'm NOT A LIAR. Bought loads of star wars over the last ten years and rarely had a problem. I'm no expert and I am very picky.
Yes it's true that although I have been busy I've been bumping my wtb post on another forum. I know 7 weeks isn't the best time to ask for a refund. And as time goes on that becomes more unrealistic (Was hoping for a bit of lee-way) but it took over a week for me to get the figure (quite reasonable) and I've been away for two weeks.
Why is it you can make a PayPal claim within 45/180 days?
I think some of the replies are very immature and ignorant. Everyone has a right to an opinion and people live their lives and think very differently from others.
I will think long and hard before I buy and sell again or issue refunds.
Seem to me that some people are very unwilling to offer refunds no matter what the time frame. As we know PayPal favours the buyer but I think this forum favours the seller. Just because you've had great transactions with a seller doesn't mean others have as well.
I didn't want to drag anyone's name through the mud. I was encouraged to say who the seller was. I think this is a big misunderstanding.
I've told the TRUTH but no doubt there will be a counter arguments and people poking fun about my reply.
I will try to get a video of the figure up in the next few days. Other than that I have nothing more to say.

I sold you a mint figure with stiff limbs which was thoroughly checked before being sent. I feel for anyone who gets an item that is not as described but this is bullshit.

Yak Face you opened this up to public debate by posting the thread in the first place. In your original post you asked "why is it I'm in the wrong?" You asked the question and you now have the answers.
If I was in your position and being challenged like you are I would of have immediately posted a video showing the floppy limbs. Instead you say "I'll try to get one up in couple of days" C'mon pal, it'll take 5 minutes and if filmed adequately put would this whole thing to bed.
You've made outright accusations against a guy who has had a good reputation until now and you've been caught bullshitting that you couldn't get online. It's time to put up or shut up.
In response to your whole thing around the forums and sellers v buyers, again I think you're wrong. I think it makes for a equal playing field and safer place to sell and buy. I've bought and sold many items and luckly haven't had a problem plus made many friends. Yes you have to be careful and I tend to always add the 4% unless it's someone I've dealt with a few times.

As mentioned previously, I've dealt with Booty before and found him to be honest, fair and a credit to the forum.
Personally, I'd put this down as experience and move along, move along...

Sorry late to the party on this one - Booty Hunter did indeed PM me and I was trying to stay neutral until all the facts were out. I agree that 7 weeks is way too long to ask for a refund on a used item, but I also agree sellers have a duty to provide accurate descriptions. I guess the only way the latter could be proved is the video suggested previously so we can check it's the same figure.
As mentioned in the rules all sales here are personal so although I and the other mods are happy to help we don't have 'the power' to rectify transactions, so please take care when buying things and as mentioned sellers may not ask for gift payments, buyers can only offer to at their discretion (factor fees in to prices please.)
