Books vs Films - guess the film/book

Sorry, that might be a brilliant guess for all I know, but I haven't read it. I'm thinking of something very different! :ROFLMAO:

One from me

OK, I'll go again, but only because I already had another one lined up and ready to go... And this one really IS easy... if you've read the book! ;)

Book on the left, film on the right:

I assume the difference is bronze vs gold, or winning in the movie to placing in the book but I’m devoid of an actual answer

Popping this here whilst I have it in my mind, book left, film bastardisation on the right

Gotta be Fever Pitch?
Yep. Changing WW2 history is bad enough, changing Arsenal for a stickball team is unforgivable, although Hornby changed his own book for the British adaptation as well 🙄

OK, a clue for my last one then:

It's something every single one of us here SHOULD know, but I'm guessing many don't. The book absolutely was a bestseller in its day, however I think it's fair to say the film is far better known ;) :ROFLMAO:
