Not sure if this is true or not, but assuming it was a camera that got you and not some twat with his hairdryer/cop car with a speed camera, then I THINK if you were driving the lass's car you can 'claim' you dont know which one of you was driving it. I have heard that in that situation if they don't know who was actually driving and can't tell from the picture of you speeding, then they can't actually give the points to anyone. You may still have to pay the fine, as ONE of you was speeding, but it saves the points.

That's how Neil Hamilton the old twat Tory MP got off with his speeding fine.

Actually by the sounds of that article you may have a hope of getting away with it. Assuming it was a camera that got you of course!

I think that unless they have photographic evidence of the driver then people were claiming that it was an abuse of their human rights under the European Human Rights Bill that they should have to incriminate themselves. Not sure if they closed this loophole or not though.

You'd be in some serious **** though if you piss them off and then they come up with some footage of you behind the wheel on the same journey moments before the offence. May be worth taking the three points as annoying as it is.

Nice bit of overtime sitting in a nice warm van for the coppers. Admittedly I'd be the same, it'd beat having to wrestle a bunch of pissed up louts into a van.
