Black Boba Fett?

New to this forum and it looks great!

I have a question....I bought this 'Black Boba Fett' figure on eBay today and I'm guessing it's just a painted vintage figure (I bought it as I like Fett and it looked good)

And why painting it badly? It's a Fett after all, he should have been treated better.
