Beverly Hills Cop 4 ?

Indy 4 was a good adventure yarn. It helds its own. :)

I absolutely agree. Yes, there was some bad CGI (the army ants in particular), and some cringe worthy acting here and there (mostly from Karen Allen), but watching it on its own, the story was original and the style of action reminded me of the originals. At least it didn't take the cheap route and basically redo the original with new characters and settings. ;)

Much of the content/subject matter in the original would be seriously frowned upon nowadays, and Eddie Murphy could get away with stuff back then no actor/comedian could do today.

I personally believe the "fun" has been lost from films like the original because of our politically correct culture now. Don't get me wrong, it's a good thing that society is becoming more racially/sexual-orientation aware, but, well, you know :D

Sacha Baron Cohen. I believe he is the saving grace of good old adult humour, and giving a big FU to PC. Borat remains the single funniest film since the turn of the century. :D

I certainly agree though that PC has taken the fun out of comedy. Any attempt at satire is branded as either racism or sexism. Bullshit.

I don't have a problem with Indy 4 either, entertaining film and bring on number 5.

It's all about the money, if there's a buck in it they will do it ( as long as they don't do an Uncle Buck 2 obviously with a different actor...Uncle Buck was awesone 8)

It's the same with the music scene, all the 80 s bands re releasing.

In regard. To the films, some people are for it some against, my advice is if your against, just watch the originals again and ignore the new ones, everyone's happy

I do not hope they do a Uncle Buck 2, I cannot see a new John Candy in any actors

Heres another one I always got a laugh watching! There are so many, Also what about Ferris? anyone anyone :)

lol, love Innerspace. You could tell at the end it was being set up for a sequel, but I think it bombed so they didn't bother.

One sequel I'm gutted they never did was Wayne's World 3.

Another one :D sorry this his moved completely from Beverly Hills cop 4 but I never tire from watching this movie

There are a few in pipeline. I heard Goonies 2 is pretty much a go. Bill and Ted 3. Wasn't there talk of a Bladerunner 2? And, even more bizarre, a Shining 2

Other than star wars I cant really think of many classics where there's been a huge break from the original to a remake and the remake has been good.

The Burbs is a great film. 8)

And Carrie Fisher is in it....so at least there's a link to this forum even if there isn't to BHC 4 :D

Bad idea for me,remaking good new additions to old film franchaises is often very difficult to do,for many reasons.

To most who enjoy the old films they represent a period in time,in there life where they can place themselves,to then add another film 30 years later can often taint and confuse the original thoughts and feelings you once had.

Not to mention changes in times, fashion, political correctness, actors, film making, script writers, directors, etc. Then im not sure if it would work.Or have the same appeal.

Sometimes its better to leave things in the past then to try muck about with it.

Wasn't there talk of a Bladerunner 2?

Blade Runner 2 is confirmed, and has a scheduled release date of October 6, 2017. Less than a year and a half away. :)

Two months before that, we get the next Alien movie, on August 4.

Ian

 So is Harrison Ford also back in the next Blade runner movie ?

He's back, but it's unknown if it's a starring role or a cameo. Sounds like more of a cameo appearance.

Ryan Gosling and Dave Bautista are both confirmed to be in it too. Ridley Scott will be producing, but not directing this time. It starts filming next month.
