Bend ems

So, just purchased an Ackbar Bend em for my focus, and wondered if anyone collects this range? I see a few mentions of them on the forum.

Not much ble them if any from what I gather, but an easily attainable goal for a focus that won't break the bank, hate them myself TBH

I am weirdly drawn to bend ems.. i've got a few that i'm planning to ween my nephew with and draw him into star wars.

they remind me of robot chicken and thus make me laugh.

Bendems are pretty cool really. I actually think that this is one of the few lines in modern stuff that might just have it's day. It's not happened yet but who knows.

Bloody hate them.

But I recall they were one of the first new lines back in the early 90's, and the resurrection of the SW franchise - very little new product had been produced up until then.

But I agree, they could be a great entry level line to collect in the coming years given vintage stuff is going mental at the moment.

Bend em's are ****....but way better than POTF2 stuff.

Yeah I'm with Todd. It's the artwork on the cards which put me off. Nasty.

Out of all the modern stuff, they're the best, mainly because the art work is so ****, its almost comes full circle to be good! They look like bootlegs. Wouldn't pay more than a quid though...

Personally I hate them. Their some of the worse Modern toys ever made. Horrific

everything about them is poor, but thats the appeal.. and boba fett is the annoying one which is hard to get...

I can't remember the exact number off the top of my head, but there's something like over 800 possible variations to collect, no one has achieved it yet.

Take the most amazing sculpted figure you have ever seen, cast it in rubber, then apply a paint application that needs to be elastic and I think you'll be amazed at the result.

It is an amazing line that not only generated interest in Star Wars, but also featured amazing promotional tie ins with the trading cards and coins. Some folk don't know they're born

I like the trading cards/coins their a nice touch and I am glad they where made just for the sheer amount of interest they generated in the SW brand again but the figures look awful.

Like I said that's the choice of materials used, the sculpts themselves are genuinely superior to anything Kenner were doing at the time, if you are able to make Farthest From, I promise if you have no love for them, you'll come to appreciate what they are, what they did and what they could have done

t 10 away from a set. Personally i think they are pretty cool scuplts and are a unique area. Some look better than vintage bootlegs. These are what brought me back into SW in 93/94 and that is enough for me.

Received my Ackbar Bend em through the post today. Got to say, up close and personal, in my hands, I actually quite like it.
Let us know when Spring Farthest From is going to be Dave, will try to ensure I am not away for this one! It looks like the Bend ems need some support.
is this the start of a focus for me? I don't know.
Will I watch the Force Awakens trailer with a beer later on? Most definitely.
