be still my beating heart car boot HEADMAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wait... Snagbar, why are you claiming you found an Uzay Headman at a "car boot" (I assume that's a swap meet or garage sale) when it's just a re-painted RG??? :?

Yes, he does do those kinds of things

The blue stars is also a custom

Oh and a boot sale is a garage sale on a bigger scale ;) Think muddy fields, wooden tables, hot dog stalls (most likely rain) and junk in the back of peoples cars and you are on the right path !

How many known Uzay MOC's are there, and how often do they come up for sale? I assume it almost a name your price thing?

Depends on the figure. It also depends on what's for sale. TIE Pilot was one of the easier ones years back yet one of my friends has been searching for one for years. He can't seem to shake one out of a collection. The toughest carded ones are:

Headman (One known and a second is rumored but not confirmed)
Hoth Trooper/Alt card Chewbacca (close up Chewie) (3 of each known)
DSD/R5-D4 (5 or so of each known)

Others like R2 are not terribly uncommon but again, haven't been seen much in recent years.

Gunner is one of the most popular because of the card art. I think there's only been 2 sales in the past 5 years.

Blue Stars is another popular one but not uncommon at all. It's infamy drives it's price up.

John,

Good to see you post here.

I love the Uzay's. They ****ing rock and would love to add an authentic Blue Stars to my collection. Guess I will "settle" for Skye's custom shirt from CIV...

Cheers for the info John. What sort of price do they command?

Tough call these days. Stormtrooper ranks up there as one of the or 3 easiest to find carded. A few years ago one could be had for $200-400. I think a loose, MINT one, sold for $300+ a while back. It's probably $500-800 figure now. The last alt Chewbacca I think sold close to $4,000. Hoth Trooper in the $3,000+ area. A Blue Stars in nice shape is a $3,000+ piece too but, again, attributed to it's fame. It's more common so it should be aroud $1,500-2,000 tops. Headman is a one-off (I'll continue to say that until I see this second one that people speak of). An offer of $20,000 was made to Joe to buy it and he passed. Should one come up for sale it will no doubt sell for HUGE money.

The more common ones; Stormtrooper, Chewbacca, ATAT Driver, C-3PO should all be less than a $1,000. They'll probably sell in the $300-900 range. I know that's a broad number but UZAY prices have been all over the place for a few years and it depends who is making a play for it and how nice it is since many are pretty rough.

At the current $/â'¬ rate that's a steal :p
A carded Blue Stars or even HST are still on top of my whish/grail list!

BTW welcome from me too John, would you like some milk in you tea?

Cheers,
