Perhaps a slightly restriced site for under 18s. It's only a few areas that tend to get a bit fruity. The ebay section and off-topic. (and this one thanks to me but not usually :lol: )
It's actually quite rare that the Fs and Cs get thrown around in the more "on topic" sections. The ebay section is rife with scary words mainly because of the Fakes section. The "ebay cocks" section. The block list, "Scum-Bag of the Year" etc for obvious reasons these types of thread can get pretty feisty.
So i think having the ebay section and the Off Topic section locked to under-agers would mostly solve the problem. And perhaps a ban on the C word or anything too explicit in the main Star Wars section. (i'm just thinking out loud here but food for thought)

Jordan, I think all of us appreciate you coming over to post on this issue because quite frankly this was a serious WTF situation.
Unfortunately I don't think you will ever undo everything that has happened with an apology or an explanation and like Kevin said I also believe that your reputation may well have taken a serious knock because of this.
You may not be back to discuss the Palitoy set or Kenner Babe again with us on SWF as it does appear you are a very busy person but if you are reading and appreciate advice: I really think you should rethink trusting anyone but seasoned employees of yours to do any business in your name in the future. Whether or not this was just a mistake from someone you sent out to get some information on values/prices on some stock you had it is painfully obvious to everyone here that trusting someone with no experience at all in this field with even the simplest task can really cause you quite a lot of trouble.
She may make a great dealer in the future but her time isn't now and it's going to take a lot of years shadowing someone like yourself for her to gain the experience she needs to be able to handle 5 figure transactions, personally and this isn't me being mean for the sake of it but based on what we have seen - I wouldn't trust her to complete a sale on a carded Klaatu right now.

Pete, we never stay on topic in any section. Cursing is sporatic as well as, not so PG topics. I think this was an isolated incident. Most teenagers cuss like sailors...and I doubt 7 year olds would hang here as we are boring to them. I just do not want to see a Knee jerk reaction. She was banned and it was a good thing. It was about to get ugly...she is 14 and she really had no place here with her odd behavior......somebody was going to over step at some point.
Joe- how come we cant PM you?
As for the age thing, obviously Emiel has brought it up for discussion with the other moderators and we will have to see what Edd decides when he next drops in but my own personal view is that there are far worse things on the internet that 13-14 year olds will stumble upon than this forum. If anyone signs up here with a genuine interest in Vintage then age shouldn't matter, the language here can be foul at times but as Pete said it's not happening in every section and not everyone swears, if the language offends anyone they do have options - either read over it, ignore the members who swear or go to RS :mrgreen: :lol:

She isn't right in the ****ing head! At best she is an attention seeking idiot at worst mentally unstable, either way she has no place in this forum. RS are **** scared about dropping numbers so are keen to embrace new blood whether it brings any good to the community or not. As someone that used to post on RS until someone was good enough to tell me about this forum her attitude annoyed me from day 1 – anyone that writes so much **** in their signature needs to give themselves a serious shake – dyslexia, disability, abortion, self cutting, creeps WTF?!?
Kenner BABY managed to upset (not annoy or anger but actually upset) several good guys both here and across at RS. If you are her mentor then teach her, she is way out her depth and punching way above her weight, replying to everything with – lol, you guys are funny, lol, I'm disabled lol, stop attacking me lol, what's everyones problem lol, what is 99p in dollars lol!!!!!!!!!!

These are the ones I more so worry about. Well. as I said before, I appreciate the chance to come here and clear things up. I only have this one night to speak to the UK community, and this issue is important to me.
As for a "serious knock to my rep" I certainly hope not. I do believe that enough people know who I am, that something like this will not effect my dealings with them in the future.
I have spoken to Kenner Babe in great length and she understands the situation. As far as I am concerned its over, and I am moving forward. She will still work for my company, as will others who have the passion to learn the business.
If there is anything I can for the Board, to help smooth things over, than by all means let me know. The Star Wars community world wide has been good to me, and collecting and dealing is my passion. I am not in this business to make enemies... and certainly not to insult anyone or burn bridges.
