Hello kind folk

New here, so probably this question has been raised before but couldn't find it in search.
I was the perfect age for episode four - I was seven when it came out. My parents led both my brother and me to believe we were going to see a film about the potato famine in Ireland, but sprung a lovely surprise on us when we turned into the theatre showing Star Wars! Seven year old = mind blown!
Fan ever since.
Anyway, the action figure line became my toy of choice all the way up until I grew out of toys completely.
I'm in Australia, and through reading a lot on these forums, I have learned that these were released under the Toltoys brand. And this is where I become confused.
I'm 100% positive that all my figures were Kenner branded - no doubts at all. Toltoys was a well known brand of toys in those days and I certainly would not have mixed things up.
Can anyone please advise?
Kindness
Pete

I think Toltoys was only on the front of earlier cards, it was then changed to Kenner but with the Toltoys address on the back. You would also have just had standard Kenner cards and no doubt Kenner cards with Toltoys stickers added.
There are far more educated guys on here than me but that's pretty much a basic start point for you

Here's an example of a Toltoys branded carded figure:

Ahh the old Irish Famine mind-trick. Of course!

:D

And welcome to the forum,

Declan.

Thanks Edd
Yeah, I've seen those on here, I'm just saying I don't remember ever owning one as a kid - I'm positive they were all Kenner.

Thanks for the warm welcome Declan!
And, I'll try to find out the name, but there definitely was a film about the Irish potato famine out at the same time as SW.
I was only 7 back then, so I'm not sure if that particular film made more money than Star Wars - I'll check IMDB and get back...

I thought they'd thought up the biggest drag of a subject for kids to go and see purely from the top of their heads. I'm glad you cleared that up. :)

Regarding the Toltoys/ Kenner thing. It's quite common to see Nien Numb Offer cardbacks that look as American as Apple Pie on first glance until you notice the Australian address to send away to.
